John Lambert Craton, age 68, of Dallas, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2011. The son of the late, Reverend Phillip Craton & the late, Irma Lee Gurley Craton, he was born October 27, 1942, in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Craton was retired from the U. S. Postal Service as a mail carrier.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Morris Craton; son & daughter-in-law, Derrick & Shannon Craton of Dallas, GA; brother & sister-in-law, Alfred & Brenda Craton of Dallas, GA; sister & brother-in-law, Jean & Larry Silbaugh of Dallas, GA; brother-in-law, Harold & Pat Morris of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Craton and Anna Grace Craton; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 28, 2011, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Joe Pritchard officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. Michael Hutcheson, Danny Alsobrook, Jerry Shelton, Randy Benson, Danny Shelton and Justin Pitts will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Renfroe, Bruce Harris, Bob Amonds and R. L. Benson. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home, Wednesday, July 27, 2011, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Clark Funeral Home, Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.

RIP John, you have fought a long hard battle.

 

Linda , Derrick and Shan and to the rest of the family I am so sorry for your loss, John was a very good man, and will be greatly missed.
