Funeral Director Posted May 17, 2011 Report Share Posted May 17, 2011 (edited) Mrs. Bertha Tilley, age 89 of Douglasville, GA formerly of Dallas, Ga. passed away on Monday, May 16, 2011 at Douglasville Nursing and Rehab Center in Douglasville, Ga. Mrs. Tilley was born on February 1, 1922 in Canton, Ga., the daughter of the late Mr. Clifford Fenton Turner and Mrs. Bessie Elvira Hickey Turner. Mrs. Tilley worked in the food service industry for National Biscuit Company. Mrs. Tilley is survived by her beloved husband Mr. Jack Ross Tilley of Douglasville, GA. , three daughters Rev.. and Mrs. Brenda (William) Timms of Dallas, GA. Mrs. Deborah Dunn of Dallas, GA. Mrs. Robin Reynolds of Dallas, GA., One son Mr. and Mrs. Lanier (Janice) Tilley of Bremen, GA., One sister Mr. and Mrs. Ethel (R. C.) Adams of Palmetto, Fla. Eleven grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.. Mrs. Tilley is preceded in death by her beloved parents Mr. Clifford Fenton Turner and Mrs. Bessie Elvita Hickey Turner, son-in-law Jimmy Reynolds, two brothers Albert Turner and Claude Turner, one granddaughter Jamie Butler and two great-great grandsons Joseph and Jacob Shepherd. Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Tilley will be conducted on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 1PM in the chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Floyd and Rev. Calvin Grogan officiating. Music will be provided by Jeff Eberhart and Becky Bearden. Pall bearers will include Billy Timms, Conrad Timms, Josh Tilley, Lamar Reynolds, Mark Reynolds and Billy Reynolds. Interment will be at Melrose Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 from 5PM to 9PM and Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 9AM until time of service.
