Congo Boat Carrying 80 People Capsizes

Recommended Posts

A boat carrying as many as 80 people capsized on Lake Kivu in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, the United Nations said.

The boat may have been traveling from Minova, a town near the border of North and South Kivu provinces, to Bukavu, South Kivu’s provincial capital, said Alexandre Essome, the UN’s spokesman for North Kivu province.

“Our military are flying over the lake to get more information,” Essome said by phone from Goma, the North Kivu provincial capital. “The number is not yet well known, but some people are alleging there were 80 people on the boat.”

That is what is going on in the world today, reports the United Nations, but what is going on in Powder Springs?

The Book Worm Bookworm bookstore wanted to let you know that the United Nations was found today in 1945 and wants you to read more about social issues and politics so you can discuss what is going on in the world and give your opinions and share your thoughts on Paulding.com.

For that reason, a source says, they are giving 25% off that section of their store today. Another source reports they just got in some "awesome" new bookmarks, booklights, bookplates and licensed collegiate bracelets, necklaces and keychains!

By the way, this is not made up, it really is true.sad.gif
