+subby1
have a Kohler 14.5 HP engine, vertical shaft design that will fit most riding tractor lawn mowers. Engine runs great, fully inspected flywheel, starter, and just cleaned the carburetor. Features full pressure lubrication, hydraulic lifters on OHV's, fuel pump, etc. It is currently mounted on a Craftsman rider mower that's too far gone to rebuild, so I am just selling the engine. Anyone needing a replacement engine for a riding mower, this is the top of the line engine on the market, IMO. The engine is a few years old, but runs nice and clean, and does not burn oil. New engines of this design or similar sell brand new for about $800. It is still sitting on the mower, so that the potential buyer can hear it run. The price is based on how you'd like to do it. I will sell the engine still mounted on the tractor (you take the whole thing and remove the engine) for $175, or I can remove the engine myself, and the cost is $225 to cover my labor time in removing it. If you want to just pick the whole thing up, you could save $50!! This would be the best route to take- you save money, plus the engine needs to be mounted with the throttle cable attached so you can hear it run. The muffler is rusted and a bit loud, but the engine runs like a champ. This engine with retrofit on most standard riding mowers. If you take the whole mower, you could use spare parts if needed, i.e. the solenoid, throttle cable or whatever else you might want. Seat is removed, as well as the cutting deck, so it's not too hard to load up. Charging wires and kill wire are cut, so all you have to do is connect the wires to your existing harness and you're good to go. I am in Hiram, in Forest Ridge S/D, right off Ridge Road. CASH ONLY, PLEASE!! Thanks, Glenn 678-315-8794
Guard dad
This is a premium engine. I've got a 15 year old Yard Man with this engine. The mower is falling apart, but the engine runs like new. You can't hardly kill a Kohler engine, they are that good.
