Funeral Services for Mr. Robert L. "Luke" Gilbert, Sr., age 75, of Dallas, Ga.

will be held Saturday, May 5, 2011, 11:00 at Benson Funeral Home Chapel.

 

Interment will be at North Atlanta Memorial Park at 1:30 P.M.

 

Visitation for Mr. Gilbert will be Friday evening 6:00-9:00 P.M.

 

Mr. Gilbert is survived by: Wife, Mrs. Claudine Gilbert of Dallas, GA;

Son, Mr. Robert Lucius "Luke" Gilbert, Jr. of Acworth, GA;

Daughters, Mrs. Della Corin Gilbert Glean of Dahlonega, GA and

Mrs. Laura M. Gilbert Gann of Dallas, GA; Eight Grandchildren, Wendy Jablonski,

Joey Holgate, David Holgate, Timothy Holgate, Crystal Holgate, David Baldwin,

Jenna Gilbert and Taylor Rincon; Nine Great Grandchildren, Robert Jabonski,

Kendall Jabonski, Eric Jabonski, Gabe Holgate, Ethan Holgate, Ethan Holgate, Olivia Holgate,

Brother, Mr. Eduardo "Eddie" Jester Gilbert; Sisters, Mrs. Billie Ann Gilbert Bearden

I went to church with Mr.Gilbert at Ebenezer Baptist in Dallas.

 

Even though he was helped into the church by a walker and his wife with his oxygen bottle.

He greeted everyone with a smile and a handshake.

 

Brother Luke I will miss that gentle smiling face walking in the church doors.
