Funeral Director Posted January 21, 2011 Report Share Posted January 21, 2011 (edited) Mrs. Alma Lee Tedder of Dallas Georgia passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. Mrs. Alma Tedder was born in Louissville Kentucky on July 3, 1928 to beloved parents the late Mr. Coleman H. Whitlock and Mrs. Gertrude Virginia Belcher Whitlock. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband Mr. Carl Tedder; three brothers Mr. Buddyy Whitlock, Mr. Melvin Whitlock and Mr. Roger Whitlock; and one sister Mrs. Martha Baugh. Mrs. Tedder enjoyed arts and crafts, plastic canvas knitting, traveling, playing the organ and singing. She loved playing with her dog Sheba. Mrs. Tedder was employed as a cashier, but spent most of her life creating a wonderful home for her husband and children. She loved and was loved by her family and will be missed by many. Mrs. Alma Lee Tedder is survived by one daughter Mr. & Mrs. Jerry (Sherry) Vickers of Marietta, GA; one son Mr. & Mrs. Carl W. (Debbie) Tedder, Jr. of Dallas, GA; five grandchildren Melissa K. Vickers, Jeffrey Vickers, Brian Vickers all of Marietta, GA, Amy Weatherby of Savannah, GA, and Lauren Tedder of Athens, GA; four great grandchildren Kaylee Marie Vickers of Marietta, GA, Michael Weatherby, Gabriell Weatherby, and Lexie Raye Weatherby all of Savannah, GA; several nieces and nephews, as well as many other beloved family members and friends. Funeral Services for Mrs. Alma Lee Tedder will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Unity Baptist Church at 11 am with the Reverend Donald Voyles officiating. Music will be provided by Stuart Reynolds, Jeff Eberhart and Becky Bearden. Serving as pall bearers will be Eddie McCollough, Chris Tedder, Bobby Hendrix, J.W. Anderson, Marvin Baugh, and Bobby Anderson. Interment will follow at Mountain View Park Cemetery. Mrs. Tedder will lie in state at Unity Baptist Church beginning at 10 am the morning of the funeral. The family will receive friends at Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Friday, January 21, 2011 from 6 – 9 pm.
