Mrs. Mary Lou Swafford

Mrs. Mary Lou Hudson Swafford age 88 of Dallas Georgia passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Wellstar Paulding Nursing Center in Dallas, GA.

 

 

 

Mary was born on December 6, 1922 in Benton, TN to the late Mr. & Mrs. Joe and Ida Stinett Hudson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years Mr. Vester C. Swafford, one infant son Thomas Swafford and one infant daughter Betty Sue Swafford.

 

 

 

Mrs. Swafford was employed by Bomber plant (Lockheed) and later became a housewife and mother. She was raised in the Pentecostal faith and is a member of the Celebration Church of God.

 

 

 

Mrs. Mary Lou Swafford is survived by one son and daughter in law Mr. & Mrs. Ralph (Cynthia) Swafford of Centre, AL; 1 daughter and son in law Mr. & Mrs. Lindsey (Linda) Ledford of Rockmart, GA; two sisters Mrs. Della Nation of Buchanan, GA and Mrs. Martha Denney of Acworth, GA; 12 grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many other beloved family members and friends.

 

 

 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Lou Swafford will be held in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 2 pm with the Reverend Shane Swafford, Reverend Max Burgess, and Reverend Keith Graham officiating. Interment will follow at Peaceful Meadows Memorial Gardens.

 

 

 

Visitation Services for Mrs. Swafford will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 from 4 – 9 pm and Sunday, January 9, 2011 from 9 am until the service begins at 2pm.
