Clark Funeral Home Posted December 14, 2010 Report Share Posted December 14, 2010 Delores Melton, age 64, of Cedar Bluff, AL, formerly of Powder Springs, GA, passed away Monday, December 13, 2010. She was born in Rome, GA, August 18, 1946, and was preceded in death by her father, Charles E. Carter, Sr., mother, Geneva Delores Carter and husband, Gene Melton. Mrs. Melton was the owner/real estate broker of Paulding’s Best Realty in Dallas, GA and Waterways Realty in Cedar Bluff, AL. She is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Jeff Melton & wife, Ellen of Perry, GA, Gene Melton, Jr. & wife, Sandi of Dallas, GA, Ken Melton & wife, Dusti of Dallas, GA, and Donnie Melton & wife, Lisa of Cedar Bluff, AL; brother & sister-in-law, Charles Carter, Jr. & wife, Peggy of Powder Springs, GA; sister & brother-in-law, Gloria Thacker & husband, Nathan of Cedar Bluff, AL; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 16, 2010, at 3:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Wayne Kines officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Clark Funeral Home, Hiram, GA, is in charge of the arrangements. Dee fought a good fight and even in the midst of her illness, she continued to be her caring, compassionate, encouraging self. I will always remember her with love and fondness. RIP Dee.
