Clark Funeral Home Posted December 4, 2010 Report Share Posted December 4, 2010 (edited) DODSON Mary Hart Dodson, age 95, of Dallas, GA passed away Friday, December 3, 2010. She was born in Atlanta, GA on September 5, 1915, and was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Hart; her mother, Susie Teal Hart, and husband, Gene Dodson, son John Phillip Cash, and brothers Charles M. Hart, Albert Hart. Mrs. Dodson careers was a school teacher for Paulding County and later a designer tech for Lockheed for 30 years. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church for 75 years. She completed and received her degree in education from West Georgia College at the age of 77, the oldest student to graduate from West Georgia. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Sue Cash of Bowdon, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Dennis “Zeke” Lester of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Christy and Barry Ragsdale, Dallas, GA, Craig and Tabitha Lester of Dallas, GA, Kim and Mark Neisler, Kennesaw, GA; great-grandchildren Anna and Owen Ragsdale, Wil, Zac and Brady Lester, of Dallas, GA, Mason , Max Neisler of Kennesaw, GA; niece and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, December 6, 2010 at 2pm from Bethel United Methodist Church at Hiram, with Reverend Chris Branscomb and Dr. Gil Watson officiating, with eulogy given by son, Jim Cash. Interment will follow in Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jack Hart, Larry Hart, Roy Crider, Barry Walton, Dale Morris, Kyle Phillips. Honorary pallbearers include members of Chapter 423 Order of The Eastern Star. The family will receive friends at the Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, December 5, 2010 from 4-8 PM. Flowers will be accepted, or those desiring may make donations to Bethel United Methodist Church, 1444 Bethel Church Rd, Hiram, GA 30141.
