Clark Funeral Home Posted October 15, 2010 Report Share Posted October 15, 2010 (edited) Richard Swartley Gehman, age 77, of Austell, GA, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010. The son of the late, Wilmer Minninger Gehman and the late, Mary Elizabeth Swartley Gehman, he was born January 29, 1933, in Doylestown, PA. Mr. Gehman served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked as an electrician for IBEW Local #613 for 30 years. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Joyce Gehman of Austell, GA; sons & daughters-in-law, Larry & Laura Capps of Hiram, GA, Stephen Capps, Sr. of West Virginia, James & Rena Gehman of Dallas, GA, Jerry Gehman of Austell, GA, John Gehman of Atlanta, GA, and Doug Capps of West Virginia; daughter & son-in-law, Annette & John Nokes of Dallas, GA; thirteen grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Sunday, October 17, 2010, at 2:00 PM, from Paulding Memorial Gardens, with Reverend Rick Bice officiating. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, October 17, 2010, from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM. Clark Funeral Home, Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
