Mrs. Mary Ann Martin age 63 of Dallas, Georgia passed away at her residence on June 14, 2010. She was born on November 13, 1946 the daughter of the late Henry Lee Gurley and Ora B. Swafford. She was a seamstress most of her life having been employed with J. H. Block. She was employed by the Hiram Hickory Hut for the last 10 years. Mrs. Mary Ann Martin was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was of the Baptist Faith.

 

 

 

Mrs. Mary Ann Martin is survived by 2 daughters, Melissa Pace & Vicky Brown both of Dallas, Ga.; son & daughter in law, Chris & Candice Martin of Dallas, Ga.; grandchildren, Cody Pace, Jodi Pace, Keisha Brown, Kayla Brown, Chris Martin, Jr., Natalie Martin, Tommy Martin, Teddy Martin, Dorothy Martin, Jade Martin, and Charlie Martin; 14 great grandchildren; sisters & brothers in law, Melba & Henry Parson, Janice & Larry Ayers both of Dallas,Ga.; Joyce & Sammy Smith of Alabama; 4 brothers & sisters in law, Jerry & Darlene Gurley of Alabama, James “Hop” & Candy Gurley , Charles & Judy Gurley, Radar & Martha Gurley all of Dallas, Ga; many nieces, nephews, cousin and many other beloved family members and friends.

 

 

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ann Martin will be conducted at 4 PM on Thursday, June 17, 2010 in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Reverend Shad Smith officiating. Music will be provided by Reverend & Mrs. Shad Smith. Pall bearers will include Wade Martin, Tommy Martin, Tim Martin, Teddy Martin, Scott Moody, and Gary Morales. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 17, 2010 from 1PM until 9PM and on Thursday from 9AM until the service begins at 4PM.

Mary Ann was a wonderful, kind woman.

She leaves behind a large family, that will miss her. They were blessed to have her.

I knew her and her family for many years and saw them through many changes.

She was a true friend and I will miss her very much.
