Subby, do you charge to look at a mower to figure out what's wrong with it. We have one that needs repairing and my hubby keeps saying he wants to get it looked at before the grass season starts. He usually takes it to the same place. I don't know where because I am the laundry fairy and he is the grounds keeper around here. LOL

I will see he if will call you. Of course I will come with him to drop it off if he decides to let you fix it cause I got to meet that guy who used to play in Doug Stone's band! :yahoo:

Usually around $25 to check one out and find all the problems. What does the other place charge him for the same service? If it's less, then I'll match it. ;) As far as I know though, most shops generally charge about the same (25) to diagnose a problem. Only in my case, should he decide he wants me to fix, then I always waive that fee. :)

So, did he ever decide? I have nothing but time on my hands now, since the weather has stopped everything dead in its tracks. I can check it out on the spot with no waiting.

how hard would it be to fix a push mower that the pull handle came out of. like when you pull to crank it that part broke. sorry not a lawn mower person..lol.. my dad broke his last summer

If it's just the pull rope, then about $30 to install new rope. If the spring broke, it could be a little more. Most models require taking off the tank and hood to install new rope. Is it a Briggs and Stratton engine?

When can you bring it by? Or do you need a house call? (costs more that way though)
