Clark Funeral Home Posted October 26, 2009 Report Share Posted October 26, 2009 E. Pauline Cason Matthews, age 86, of Dallas, GA, passed away on October 26, 2009. A native of Paulding County, she was born March 30, 1923, and was preceded in death by her husband, Duvon “Jim” Matthews in 2000; parents, Homer & Bessie Cason, brother, Ray H. Cason and sister, Ozell Murdock. She retired from Lockheed after 25 years as an Electrical Assembler. Mrs. Matthews was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dallas. Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, Mike & Melissa Matthews of Dallas; daughters & sons-in-law, Sonja & Jimmy Corley of Dallas and Gail & Jimmy Lawrence of Dallas; grandchildren, Jeff Corley, Joey & Tracy Corley, Ginger Corley, Chris & Lori Corley, Derek & Pam Lawrence, Pam & Stan Heflin, Jason & Crystal Matthews, and Josh & Amber Matthews; great-grandchildren, Brooke Corley, Blake Corley, Ansley Corley, Erin Corley, Adam Corley, Kaley Corley, Josh Lawrence, Jesse Lawrence, Jordan Lawrence, Dylan Heflin, Maggie Heflin, Cody Matthews, Marissa Matthews, Jake Matthews, Jayln Carter, and Lexie Matthews; and great-great-grandchild, Hannah Corley. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at 2:00 PM, from the First Baptist Church of Dallas, with Dr. Gregg Potts and Reverend Todd Tibbitts officiating. Interment will follow in Dallas Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jeff Corley, Derek Lawrence, Joey Corley, Chris Corley, Jason Matthews and Josh Matthews. Honorary pallbearers will be Coleman Murdock, Jack Murdock, Blake Corley, Josh Lawrence, Jesse Lawrence, Dylan Heflin, Jordan Lawrence, Cody Matthews, Tim Cason, Ken Cason, Adam Corley, and Jayln Carter. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to, First Baptist Church of Dallas Building Fund, 401 Main Street, Dallas, GA 30132.
