Mrs. Mittie Cartee Gunnell, age 63, of Dallas, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2005. She was born on August 14, 1941 in West Columbia, SC to the late Clifford and Jessie Cartee. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by Arthur C. Cartee and Marguerite McQuilkin Cartee.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Tammy Gunnell of Dallas; sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Dan Hopkins of Lookout Mountain, TN, Ruth Spires of West Columbia, SC, Esther Millsapp of Dallas, GA, Beverly Hutchinson of Gaston, SC, Ginny and John Ziegler of Spartanburg, SC and Rita and Chris Harrison of Lexington, SC; sister-in-law, Miriam Fleeman Cartee; three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. from Wayside Baptist Church with Reverend Billy Bell officiating. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram in charge of arrangements.
