Mrs. Ruth Mae Sams age 80 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on August 29, 2009 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia. Mrs. Sams was born on August 6, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of the late Carl Alexander Voyles and Nettie Wilson Voyles. She was of the Baptist faith and was a devoted homemaker.

 

Mrs. Ruth Mae Sams is survived by 2 daughters and son in law, Ray and Ann Chapman of Carrollton, Ga., and Judy Smith of Rockmart, Ga.; 1 son and daughter in law, Roy David and Maria A. Sams of Temple, Ga.; 6 grandchildren Angie Taylor, Christy Callis, Melissa Chapman, Tammy Ross, Karen Kuhlman, Faith Sams, Hayden, Haleigh, Hunter, and Sydney; 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many other beloved family members & friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy C. Sams and her parents, Carl Alexander & Nettie Voyles.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Sams will be conducted on Tuesday September 1, 2009 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Reverend Cecil Dutton and Reverend Wendall Hurston officiating. Music will be provided by Jeff Eberhart & Becky Beardon and Victory Road Gospel Quartet. Pallbearers will include Carl Green, Steven Green, Chris Smith, Matthew Brady, Ryan Brock, Stevie Callis, and Brandon Taylor. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday August 31, 2009 from 12 noon until 9 pm and on Tuesday from 9 am until the service begins at 11 AM.
