Funeral Director Posted June 7, 2009 Report Share Posted June 7, 2009 Mr. Dennis "Hawk" Holcombe age 49 of Dallas, Georgia passed away suddenly on Saturday June 6, 2009 at Floyd Medical Center. Hawk was born on August 13, 1959 in Dallas, Georgia the son of the late Lola Elizabeth Cantrell and Delbert Holcombe. He was of Baptist Faith. Hawk enjoyed coaching ball teams. He is survived by his two sons and daughter in law, Brandon & Ashley Holcombe, Derek Holcombe both of Dallas, Georgia; one grandson, Ashdon Holcombe; six sisters and brother in laws, Ellen and Ed Wallace of Centre, Alabama, Mabel and Slim Dawkins of Rockmart, Georgia, Debra and Lemuel Evans of Dallas, Georgia, Dolly Gazaway of Dallas, Georgia, Linda and Maynon Childers of Rockmart, Georgia, Brenda and Dan Robinson of Rockmart, Georgia; many nieces and nephews; many other beloved family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lola Elizabeth and Delbert Holcombe; one brother, Debo Holcombe; one sister, Carolyn Slayton. Mr. Holcombe's body was cremated. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. The family will be receiving friends at the residence of his sister, Dolly Holcombe Gazaway located at 644 Polk Lane, Dallas, Georgia on Sunday June 7, and Monday June 8.
