Margaret Jo Dean Hardy

Margaret Jo Dean Hardy, age 79, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2009. She was the daughter of the late, Durrell W. Dean & the late, Imogene Thaxton, born December 12, 1929, in Paulding County. She retired from Lockheed-Martin after 10 years as a dispatcher. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons & daughters-in-law, Joel & Shirley Hardy of Dallas, Tommy Hardy of Dallas, Robbie & Tonya Hardy of Dallas, and Ricky Hardy of Hiram; daughters, Karen Thomason of Marietta and Connie & Lee Waller of Villa Rica; brothers & sister-in-law, Gary & Faye Thaxton of South Georgia and Hulon Thaxton of Hiram; sister, Linda Thaxton of Las Vegas; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2009, at 3:00 pm, from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Brian Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. Jason Brackett, Daniel Nichols, Tadd Thomason, Matthew Hardy, Scotty Dangel, Dustin Hardy and Craig Hardy will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 29, 2009, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

I hadn't seen her in many, many years but as I recall she was a sweet, humble and hard-working lady.
