Bobby Morgan Jackson, age 68, of Dallas, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2009. He was born on February 8, 1941, in Menlo, GA, to the late William and Faris Jackson. Mr. Jackson retired from Lockheed with 33 years of service in the tool and die department and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War stationed at the Panama Canal Zone. He also worked as a farmer, hay bailer, and farrier. He enjoyed hobbies such as rough stock bull riding, steer roping, calf roping, and team roping. He won several buckles, saddles, watches and rope bags while performing in the rodeo.

 

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Jackson of Dallas; daughter, Kimberly Jackson of Dallas; sister, Dee & Mid Allen of Armurchee, GA; several nieces and nephews.

 

Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 13, 2009, at 2 p.m., from Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Joe Condra officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 12, 2009, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church Building Fund at 1925 Nebo Road, Dallas, GA 30157; Cloudland Presbyterian Church at 209 Long Branch Road, Cloudland, GA 30731; or any favorite charity.

I think Bobby's health just got the best of him, the last time I talked to Pat and Bobby his health was already so bad..

 

They are the sweetest people, we use to walk to their Rodeo's every saturday night

 

wonderful People and when Kimberly came alone they could not have been happier..
