He was born September 15, 1957, in Chattanooga, TN, to Joseph Lyle Collison & Elfreida Collison. Mr. Collison was a manager with Kroger. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife of twenty years, Pamela Jan Walker Collison; parents, Joseph Lyle Collison & Elfreida Collison of Rocksprings, GA; son & daughter-in-law, Joseph Michael Collison, Jr. & April of Flowery Branch, GA; daughters, Courtney Nicole Collison of Douglasville, GA and Holly Renee Collison of Douglasville, GA; brothers & sisters-in-law, Rick & Gail Collison of Rock Springs, GA and John & Melissa Collison of Rock Springs, GA; sister & brother-in-law, Colleen & Mark Long of South Carolina; grandchild, Braydon Collison of Flowery Branch, GA; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, January 29, 2009, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. On Friday, January 30, 2009, they will receive friends at Heritage Funeral Home in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 31, 2009, at 1:00pm, from Heritage Funeral Home in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, with Reverend Chris Hulsey officiating.
