Mary Sue Thomason, age 78, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2009. She was born on August 28, 1930, in Hiram, GA, to the late Jacob and Jennie Clonts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershell Thomason; son, Kelly Thomason; and sister, Evelyn Leach. Mrs. Thomason was past secretary / treasurer of Hiram United Methodist Womens Assoc., she enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

 

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Greg & Diana Thomason of Dallas, David & Sharon Thomason of Montgomery, AL, Blake Thomason of Hiram; daughters and son-in-law, Lee Ann & Robert Penna of Whitesburg, Cathy T. Kent of Hiram, Theri Brawn of Smyrna; brother and sister-in-law, Franklin & Phyllis Clonts of Hiram; eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2009, at 3 p.m., from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Gene Golden officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.

The family is accepting flowers; however, contributions can be made to the March of Dimes at www.marchofdimes.com.

Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.

My dearest sympathies for the family. Mrs. Thomason was a wonderful human being and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her would say the same.
