Send the kids to horse camps for the holiday!

Recommended Posts

Although lots of folks are heading out of town next week - (we are leaving Wednesday to spend the weekend at the parents) - there are lots of kids out of school with nothing to do until the weekend! Bring them to a horse camp! Our horse camps are famous for crafts, horse riding, learning about horses and just plain fun! We have camps Thanksgiving Week (M-W) and after Christmas (M-W) as well as a day fun camp on 11/22...

Here are answers to some of the common questions we get about our camps:

1. Does my child need to have previous riding experience?

You do not have to know how to ride. The camps are a great place to introduce your child to horses and riding.

2. I really do not want to spend $175 for three days of camp.

You do not have to come for all three days (Mon-Wed). You can choose any combination of days you wish for $60 per day (as long as there is room).

3. What do I have to bring?

We provide lunch, snacks and drinks. We recommend bringing extra clothes just in case they get extra dirty or wet.

4. What does my child actually do at the camp?

Our camps are a combination of fun and horses. Kids learn how to take care of a horse, including brushing and hoof care, how to tack, lead and act around horses. They also are given instruction to their level how to ride in an arena. Depending on weather they might take a trail ride around the lake. Kids also make crafts, play games designed to teach teamwork and communication and much more... All for a little more than the cost of a one hour private lesson!

5. When are the next camps?

Thanksgiving Week 11/24-11/26

Christmas Week 12/29-12/31

Fun Day - 12/22

6. How do I register?

That's easy! Just click right here!

7. Can I get a gift certificate for a Christmas gift?

Practically 24/7 the verdict is still not in on whether or not it is a healthy addiction.

At least I have the excuse that it is my job
