Tiger Mama
COLOR The super-chunky, high contrast highlights of the past are now more subdued and include 2-4 similarly toned colors that range within a few levels (of darkness) of each other. The once popular chunky highlights which gave a stripey effect from the part have been updated to a more modest blend of 3 or 4 tones of hair color ranging from light to dark and applied in various sizes. Strategically placed highlights, lowlights, or panels can accentuate texture and add tons of impact to your hair style. This bold effect is very edgy and can be done in many color combinations. Solid, one-tone hair color is very popular again or two tones that offer just a subtle hint of color progression. Deep red or brown hair colors add richness and make hair look healthy and shiny. Dimensional blonde colors create interest and break up a solid ultra-blonde color. Think... Rich Warm Browns Gold, Copper and Strawberry Blondes Coppery Reds HAIRSTYLES For this fall there are alot of different looks and hair trends that graced the runway. The bob is once again the hottest look for the season. While some other popular looks are boho waves, the mushroom bob, blunt bob, chignon, sleek ponytails, braids, natural looks, face framing layers and much more. The Fall 2008 Hairstyles FABULOUS FRINGE A chic set of thick bangs can give your face instant definition, and can also make you look far more sophisticated than the wispy ones of your youth. This works best for straight hair, with a normal to thick texture. The bangs are the highest maintenance part—you'll need to get them trimmed every three to four weeks. As for the perfect face shape, this look is for ladies with oval and heart shaped faces. THE LAYERED LOOK Face-framing layers are softer and more complex than they were a few seasons ago. This is a great cut for someone who has weighty hair and wants to put some texture in it without making it too heavy. THE MUSHROOM OR BLUNT BOB It works best on hair types that are medium to light weight because the hair has that tendency to naturally fall into place. THE PIXIE You have to have a great shaped face for this. You can do it with any hair texture except for curly, and you'll need a maintenance cut about every six weeks. You also can't be afraid to show off your face and neck—they'll both be on constant display, so keep that in mind. THE LAYERED BOB This cut is good for a fine to medium hair texture. It requires a bit more styling than some of the other cuts, because it has more layers.Recommended it for round or oval faces. One of the easiest fall hairstyle trends this year is the low ponytail. This is a look for those who are confident about looking great—even with their hair pulled back. To get a great look, you will want to gather your hair, except for a piece of hair at the nape of your neck. Brush your hair, put it up in a clear hair band, then take the piece sectioned out and wrap it around the ponytail. If you want a sleeker look for the fall, you can get a flat ironed hair look. To get this, you will want to blow dry your hair while using your favorite relaxing cream. A ceramic flat iron is also a good investment if you really like this style. After ironing, just add a few glossing drops and your are good to go. Braids are going to come back big this fall. You can put your braids up in a bun, leave them down, but the most important factor is to not plaster all of your hair back in the braid. Let some pieces fall out in the front to frame your face and keep the style a little messy so that it doesn't look too stuffy and square. Full hair is always the standard for fall style. If you have hair that has some good volume, you will be able to work with wavy hair that usually isn't worn down or ironed. If you want to get just the right amount of volume in your hair, all you have to do it brush and blow dry your hair , or you can use a curling iron with a large barrel. Roller sets are also great for this look if you have the time to do it. Holiday Updo Styles coming soon!

drsmileybugs
I love that blonde pixie. My hairs that short and I've always done blonde highlights in my light brown/dirty blonde hair. I may have to try blonde all over like that!! Is that ok for fall, though? I know this thread is about "fall hairdos," but I've always felt like my blonde isn't stylish for the fall.
