John Eliga Addison, age 77, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2008. He was born November 6, 1930, in Atlanta, GA, and was preceded in death by his parents, Archie C. & Dillie O. Addison and his wife, Annie Mae Terry Addison. Mr. Addison worked for Atlantic Steel for 30 years. He was a member of Revival Baptist Church, and loved church activities and wood working.

Survivors include his sons & daughters-in-law, Michael & Brenda Addison of Canton, GA, Lamar & Barbara Addison of Dallas, GA, Joseph & Karen Addison of Dallas, GA, and Freddy & Rita Addison of Dallas, GA; brother & sister-in-law, Otis & Adene Addison of Benton, MS; sister, Margaret E. Patterson of Dallas, GA; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at 2:00pm, from Revival Baptist Church, with Reverend Art Brady and Reverend Kent Cole officiating. (Mr. Addison will lie-in-state at the church from 1:00pm until the service time.) Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Billy Addison, Danny Addison, Eddie Kimberly, Terry Jackson, Randy Presnell, and Curtis Presnell will serve as pallbearers. Chris Addison and Claude Addison will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
