Samuel Stephens “Sam” Wilson, age 72, of Villa Rica, GA, passed away Friday, September 12, 2008. He was born in Jefferson County, AL, on February 16, 1936, and was preceded in death by his parents, Paul S. & Ida L. Wilson, and five brothers. Mr. Wilson was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie Wilson; daughters & sons-in-law, Debra & David Rainwater of Douglasville, GA, Kathy & Greg Dodd of Lithia Springs, GA, and Leigh & Billy Ratliff of Griffin, GA; brothers & sisters-in-law, Roy & Jean Wilson of Centre Point, AL and Joe & Fay Wilson of Quinton, AL; three sisters-in-law of Alabama; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; eleven step-great-grandchildren; six step-great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2008, at 2:00pm, from Mozley Memorial Gardens, with Reverend Gerald Wilson, Reverend Warren Wilson and Reverend Doug Rainwater officiating. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday from 11:00am until 1:00pm.
