Clark Funeral Home Posted July 23, 2008 Report Share Posted July 23, 2008 Jason Alan Hicks, age 33, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2008. The son of Linda G. Hicks and the late Jerry Wayne Hicks, he was born March 6, 1975, in Paulding County. Mr. Hicks was a truck driver for Alliance Environmental Solutions. He loved sports, was an avid Georgia Tech fan, and was a Nascar fan of #88, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Mr. Hicks was a member of Revival Baptist Church in Powder Springs and he was called into the ministry 8 years ago. He enjoyed singing in the choir and driving for the Bus Ministry of his church. He loved spending time with his family and friends and playing domino’s with his mother. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Anne Hicks of Douglasville; mother, Linda G. Hicks & Franklin Wilbanks of Dallas; son, Jordan Goolsby of Douglasville; daughter, Melissa Goolsby of Douglasville; brother & sister-in-law, Mark & Tracy Hicks of Dallas; one niece; and four nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 25, 2008, at 3:00pm, from Clark Funeral Home, with Brother Art Brady and Brother Mike Traylor officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
