Clark Funeral Home Posted June 18, 2008 Report Share Posted June 18, 2008 Charles Hamby Phillips, age 84, of Dallas, GA, formerly of Walhalla, SC, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2008. He was born December 11, 1923, in Walhalla, SC, and was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander Martin Phillips & Esther Faye Hamby Phillips, and wife, Margaret Faye McGinnis Phillips. He was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Army, and worked as a superintendent in the construction industry. Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, Dennis & Debbie Phillips of Rocky Face, GA; daughters & sons-in-law, Rita & Bruce See of Dallas, GA, Terri Bond of Fayetteville, GA, Charlene & Kell Munroe of Fayetteville, GA, and Sharon Barber of Fayetteville, GA; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2008, at 11:00am, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Tyson Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00pm, from Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
