Dixie Freeman Fritts of Dallas, Ga, formerly of Bristol, Virginia passed away after a long illness on June 12, 2008. Dixie grew up in Benhams, Virgina and graduated from Valley Institute School in 1944. Dixie worked at the Coca Cola Company for 7 years. She was a payroll Clerk at Big Jack Corp. In Bristol for many years. Dixie was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

 

Her survivors include; One Daughter: Carolyn Campbell and Son in Law Mike Campbell of Dallas Ga, she had great joy in her two Grandchildren: Brandi Confer of Chandler, NC, and Tyler M. Campbell of San Francisco Ca, U.S Coast Guard. She has one Great Granddaughter: Kaila Confer of Chandler NC. Her brothers include Bruce Shaffer his wife Toni, Bud Shaffer and Jerry Shaffer all of Bristol. Sisters include Gladys Hiler her husband James Hiler of Monroe NC, Shirley Wertz her husband Randy Wertz of Bristol Va. Pat Adcock her Husband Bill Adcock and JoAnn Beck her husband Frank Beck of Riverview Fl.

 

Graveside services will be held at 10:00am on Monday June 16, 2008 at Mountain View Cemetery in Bristol TN, with Pastor Les Ketron officiating.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Dixie Freemen to the Ronald McDonald House, 418 N. State of Franklin Rd, Johnson City, Tn 37604.
