Malcolm Dewitt (Red) Kelly passed away May 29, 2008 at his home in Dallas, Georgia at the age of 89. He was born in Pensacola, Fla. May 23, 1919; lived in Macon, Ga. from 1947-1974 where he worked at Armstrong Cork Co. as the Shipping Supervisor; retired to Welaka, Fla. with his wife Kathleen and later moved to Dallas to be with his sons and granddaughter.

Malcolm was a World War II veteran serving in the Navy as Seaman 1st Class; a VFW member in Crescent City, Fla. serving as chaplain; a member of Hickory Heights Baptist Church in Dallas, Ga. and an avid fly fisherman and gardener.

 

He is survived by two sons Ronny and Patricia Kelly from Hampton, Ga and Cecil Ray Kelly and wife Snooky from Dallas, Ga.; One granddaughter Kelly Mack Wisniewski and husband Dan from Ball Ground, Ga. and companion Maria Dauley from Dallas, Ga.

 

A memorial service will be held at Hickory Heights Baptist Church in Dallas, GA on June 8, 2008 at 2:00 PM.

 

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that contributions be made to the church building fund.

 

 

 

Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Malcolm Kelly.
