Mrs. Sonia Johns, age 72, of Dallas passed away June 25, 2007 at the Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. She was born February 9, 1935, the daughter of Homer and Bessie Cole Freeman. Mrs. Johns was of Baptist faith and was a member of the Pumpkinvine Baptist Church, she worked for numerous Doctors in Pauling County throughout the years and was a long time dedicated employee at the Eberhart Funeral Home.

 

Mrs. Johns is survived by her husband of 54 years, James "Toonie" Johnsof Dallas, GA, sons; Doug Johns of Dallas, GA and Mark & Amy Johns of Powder Springs, GA; brothers, Billy & Velma Freeman of Dallas, GA, Jimmy & Dianne Freeman of Dallas, GA; Grand-Daughters; Alyssa, Abigail & Amber Johns.

 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 from 5PM until 8PM at the Eberhart Funeral Home.

 

Services for Mrs. Johns will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 11 am in the chapel of the Eberhart Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Cole and Rev. Brad Benson officiating.

 

Internment will follow in the Dallas Memory Gardens.

 

Mrs. Johns was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Freeman & Bessie Cole Freeman, brothers; Omer J. Freeman and James C. Freeman.

 

Pallbearers: Jeff Freeman, Jack Freeman, Jason Freeman, Alan Freeman, Zack Freeman and Tim Lord.
