Funeral Director Posted May 29, 2007 Report Share Posted May 29, 2007 Mr. Ronald E. Brooks, age 74, of Newport, TN Mr. Ronald E. Brooks, age 74, of Newport, TN. passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007. He is survived by Children: Michael Brooks of Portsmouth, VA., Rene McCullough of Newport, TN., Gregory & Tina Brooks of Norfolk, Va., Kevin & Debbie Brooks of Dallas, GA.; Grandchildren: Adam, Melissa, Amanda, Aleisha, Brad, Vanessa, Savannah, Katie, Preston and Cecilia and 4 Great-Grandchildren. Prior to retiring to Newport, TN. Ron and deceased wife, Marian, lived in Albuquerque, NM. where he was an engineer at Sandia Laboratories and served in the US Air Force at Kirkland AF Base. Ron was an avid bird watcher and loved the outdoors and was an Eagle Scout as a boy. Recently, following the loss of his wife of 44 years, Ron was residing in Dallas, Ga. with family. He will be sadly missed by his sister Nyla McClain of Greenwood, IN, and many friends and loved ones. Ron is preceded in death by his wife, Marian who passed on May 8, 2007; parents, Chester and Irene Brooks and children, Steven and Brian Brooks.
