  1. If a person keeps saying s/he is upset about not being married to you because s/he isn't able to collect your retirement or social security in the event something happens to you, do you marry that person? Some people agree that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result (from Albert Einstein). Psychopaths do the same thing over and over again when they get away with it, until there are consequences. Serial killers kill the same way over and over again (they don't pass the ball until you prove you can stop the run). Sometimes disposing of the bodies in the same fashion, such as burying them in the same location. This woman was going to kill her own family doing the same thing over and over again as long as she kept getting away with it. People never believe what others are capable of until there are dead bodies to prove it. The topper was when this mom said she called 911 to take her daughter to the hospital so she wouldn't die in the house and leave a mess to clean up. http://abcnews.go.com/2020 http://abcnews.go.com/2020/video/mom-daughter-poison-12-year-girl-part-38441581
  2. I read the headlines and articles every day. I watched television news for the first time in well over a month. I saw a little remark on facebook that totally changed how I looked at those headlines. The national news is always scary because there are usually multiple terrorist attacks in the middle east every day. There is also fear of allowing refugees in our country. A child is killed by a parent every day it seems. We have racial tension boiling over on a daily basis. We all know that anyone that commits mass murder or terrorism has mental issues. These people are especially vulnerable to rhetoric, this is how ISIS recruits. It is the vulnerable in our society that are most deeply effected by the news and headlines. The question is how do we identify those at risk. We really can't. I am pretty sure that there are people out there that are intentionally peddling paranoia for profit. Is it morally wrong? I think that if it is morally wrong to do it to Muslims it is morally wrong to do it to Americans. The conspiracy theories get worse every day. The one I read this morning was not from a shock jock but from someone that is obviously vulnerable to it. It would seem that I freely admit that after reading news stories in the morning that my anxiety level is up there. Thankfully I am not in the least paranoid, but I take my news straight up without a side of supposedly expert editorials and insight into the President's American hating mind. Here is my conspiracy theory, the shock jocks, and editorial sites are patting themselves on the back to see just how effective their efforts are. We don't know why the latest one happened, we don't have any idea what influenced or motivated them. What I do know is that it will be turned political and people will be glued to the editorials to try and make sense of something that is senseless. The paranoid folks out there will get a little sicker. We have become a reactionary society, the proof is easily seen in the proliferation of the American public arming themselves. Arming ourselves has not had any impact whatsoever on the things that frighten us. I think we will continue to see the folks on edge use weapons to cope with life. Gun control is not the answer, as long as we accept the peddling of paranoia for profit things will get worse. We approve of it with every click of the remote and mouse and they are counted in minutes. There is no more guess work in ratings they know we like it and they give us more of it.
  3. Matching labels with behaviors- Some don't know there is a name for behaviors associated with poor parenting skills. Empowering a child to make adult decisions is as harmful to their mental development as inappropriate dress. Children should not be the decision makers of whether or not to see their other fit parent anymore than they should routinely wear make up and heels in public. If these parents were still together, talking to the other parent on the phone would not be an option. So because they are not together the rules have changed?
  4. This is simply irresponsible for ANYONE to have a hand in things such as this. This is a very important topic. Is anyone interested in sharing their experiences that is not blocked from doing so for whatever reason?
  5. October is domestic violence awareness month. Yes, men are 40% of reported DV victims. Most men don't report it because they are never taken seriously. Women account for 54% of child abuse cases. Domestic violence is not gender specific but the prosecution of it is filled with gender bias.
  6. What gets lost and burried in statistics and laws like VAWA by battered women organizations is that women commit 40% of reported domestic violence abuses. Women commit 54% of child abuse offenses and are party to another 24% of cases that involve both genders. Child abuse cases that involve only a man are 22% of the cases. Here is an interesting story about a female domestic violence offender:
  7. Want to know why fit parents don't receive 50-50 parenting? Because shared parenting reduces the amount of money that the state receives in federal funding for welfare. Therefore the non-custodial parent is reduced to 4 days a month. The gooberment knows this, judges especially. They are also aware that you don't know this. Here is an article with the breakdown of why it is in the best interest of the gooberment to deprive children of one parent. The same goes for false allegations of family violence. It is driven by a need for family violence statistics false or not. The lower the numbers the fewer federal dollars are received. That produces an incentive to drive the numbers up (artificially if necessary) so that shelters and employees receive needed funding to keep their jobs. It helps Title IV-D because now one parent has been removed entirely once again maximizing child support that has to be paid because that parent has no time with the children.
  8. If this guy didn't videotape what happened he'd be f[in a world of trouble]d. Simply amazing how false allegations can turn your life upside down. No proof just make untrue allegations to a judge and just like magic you're in jail for a week. Man Jailed After Being Attacked By Ex-Girlfriend With Metal Pipe An Aliquippa man is behind bars after his family says he was assaulted by an angry ex-girlfriend wielding a metal pipe; KDKA's Ralph Iannotti reports. http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/video/10527371-man-jailed-after-being-attacked-by-ex-girlfriend-with-metal-pipe/
  9. When the abuse of a child occurs, should judges and legal professionals do what's in the best interest of a child? Or should they do their best to suppress discovery?

  11. Aside from gaslighting, the silent treatment is probably the most abusive form of psychological and emotional abuse. Contempt for a child or the child's actions are displayed disapprovingly through facial expressions and body language while avoiding any form of verbal or written communication. It is nonconfrontational abuse that doesn't afford the child any opportunity to resolve the cause for the abuser's actions. As a result, it implements a state of emotional instability through fear and guilt. The silent treatment is designed to punish and control a child by breaking their self-confidence and creating a dependency for the abuser's benefit. It is destructive in nature in that it assigns blame, is venomous, fails to observe boundaries and continues indefinitely. The only solution is total submission to the abuser. The silent treatment is different from a time-out in that a time-out is constructive, at worst neutral but can be reassuring. A time-out's purpose is defined and has a finite time limit. It gives the child time for introspection, self improvement and advice may be given to help the child find a mutually agreeable solution. Just because the wounds are invisible doesn't mean it isn't abuse. Being ignored creates the same chemical response in the brain as actual physical abuse. Anyone have any anonmous examples? They can be any relationship. Examples don't have to be parent-child.
  12. This is a 2 minute glimpse into the world of parental alienation. No big deal? Man up? Imagine if a father and grandfather treated the mother in the same way... The mother touches the father several times but I bet at some point in the past she claimed to be "afraid" of him and needing a TPO. http://youtu.be/f-0aneFygOo
  13. Many people think I'm particularly hard on moms and not on dads. I'm hard on any alienating parent. Alienation is not gender specific. It just so happens that most alienating parents are more frequently moms because they win custody better than 85% of the time. Just like unknown to most, child abuse most frequently occurs at the hands of women NOT men. This is simply because more women have custody of children. If custody where more even handed the number of incidents would be so as well. The article below is of an targeted mom. Most frequently, alienating dads are wealthy or in positions of authority so they have an ability to not only win custody but employ tactics of abuse. Just as this mother below, I know what it is like to have your cries for help fall on deaf ears in a Superior Court in Georgia. Courts like calm-assertive, which is often in the repertoire of the personality disordered through years of practice. When they see a distraught parent they think that parent is unstable. They don't even look at the behavior of the children. They don't look at the underlying causes of the parent's despair. They don't even try unless their is a lifeless body to remove all doubt. That is just another reason why awareness is so important. Columbia County, GA (WFXG) - "And there's no words to describe what it was like to force your child to go back to a situation you knew was unsafe for him." On the verge of tears, a local mom explained the ordeal she's been through. We'll call her Veronica. She said her son, a second grader, is being abused while in the home of his father, her ex-husband - a law enforcement officer in our area. "We believe he's being sexually, mentally, physically, emotionally abused," said Veronica. And she has medical records she said backs up her claims. In documents from Georgia Regents Medical Center, doctors said something is happening to her son that causes symptoms "significant for post traumatic stress disorder." Doctors also found evidence of trauma that Veronica believes to be evidence of sexual abuse. Veronica said those problem follow her son to school, where she said he creates disturbing drawings. "He is very violent with other children, as reported by the school," said Veronica. "He is writing death threats to the students, as of this past Friday."
