  1. i actually saw a picture of the boat that did a rescue at our house, on wsbtv.com. there are a TON of pictures, but it shows the boat about to go around a house.

also, i posted one on here sunday night. look in the scanner forum from that night. i don't think it'll help you though, it was dark, and you could only see the shape of the boat and all of the lights. lots of lights. lol but the boat was in my front yard, and the driver told me he was a plumber. super nice dude. ^_^

  2. I love it! I don't know who could be the killer.

How come nobody is missing the grooms Uncle???? or the girl that was set on fire?

i've been wondering the same thing. the girl wasn't that far away from everybody, so.. did no one smell smoke?

it's a good show. i've been catching it on demand.

  3. The paralysis reached her heart and lungs also and that is where she had the major issues. She also ended up on a ventilator for several weeks and then family, all the treatment started working. She was in Shepard Spinal Center for months afterwards and ended up celebrating her 40th birthday there. She is doing pretty well now with occasional issues to contend with but we feel very fortunate to still have her with us.

I am glad you are doing well and hope you continue to improve - I hope the numbness and weakness will go away for you completely soon. It truly is a very devasting disease and until my friend got it, I didn't even know it existed. Andy Griffith is also a survivor of this disease.

SOOO glad to hear your friend is doing well. GBS is so mean and nasty. you're right, totally devastating. like you, we had never heard of it. not many people have. i was just glad the doctors knew what was happening to me, and could start correcting it. i was at kennestone for a few months. 1st icu, then the rehab unit. that was the hardest. learning to walk again, and doing the little things for myself. like eating, brushing my teeth, scratching an itch... anything and everything.

and yeah, i just learned about andy griffith a few months ago. i, of course, had to google it.

  4. This is so sad. You are right Shamelle, this is a devastating illness and almost killed a good friend of mine several years ago. Are you doing okay now and recovering?

yeah, i'm doing real good. i was diagnosed last april 1st, total paralysis, icu.. the whole nine yards, but thank GOD this stuff sort of just goes away. with treatment, of course. i still have a few numb toes, and the right side of my face is numb. and i get weak/exhausted easily. but i'm GOOD! my doctor told me it will take 6 months to a year to get "back to normal", and my year is officially over. :yahoo:

what happened to your friend, to have almost died? how are they doing now? i guess you could say i almost did... my lungs and heart started to shut down, because of the muscles dying, and they almost put me on a ventilator. that machine was parked by my bed!! i hated that. but luckily, i never had to use it.

  5. this is such a mean illness. it says he was diagnosed last june, but has recently been admitted in the hospital with complications with guillain-barre. i'm curious about... what complications? what happened to put him back in the hospital?

i just finished my recovery from this, it's been a year now, i still have a few little issues, but i'm fine. i just wonder what's happened to him in the last week. :(

  6. Ashley,I LOVE them! 5 and 7 are my absolute favorites though...5 shows off her eyes and you captured her goofy laugh in 7  I can't wait to see the rest!

SUCH a cutie patootie!! i LOVE her hair and eyes.

Thanks for all the comments you all! Obviously, she is not hard to take pictures of... ;) She really is a cutie pie!

Amen to the person that said thank goodness her daddy is a police officer! I'm sure that occupation will come in extra handy in a few years when the boys start to flock!! That should keep them in line!

you don't happen to have a two-for deal coming up do you? :p for jake & hunter, 4 year old twins. i haven't had their pictures done in more than a year  . you took one picture of them before, remember... the christmas parade, they were in the wagon. :D

  7. Exhibit A - Clay Aiken.

    ;)

I'm not voting for him.... not because he's gay..... but because I just don't like him.

    I prefer Allison.

Also...I'm not voting for him...because he has already sang in Wicked... and other musical type stuff....so it's a no go for me..

Kinda like a one hit wonder trying out for AI... :nea:

wha what?? i didn't know any of this. that is sort of a deal breaker for me too. not the gay part... the "other musical type stuff" part. :p

  8. yep... shocked me too. it was so fast... no drama to it all. i only hope "future" john does something to prevent it, somehow. i'm bummed. that last scene... was that his remains being put in the unmarked cemetary with his brother?

  9. T

he woman that owns this place is the sister of the woman near the Dallas Post Office. Which that place has always seemed like a puppy mill to me. NO thanks!

not true at all. i know the family near the post office, and they ARE NOT related, or affiliated in ANY way to the woman at the "puppy mansion".

  10. i just took a picture of a house the other day. ^_^ i didn't get out of my car, though. i have a friend who is remodeling her house. a lot of materials used on this house, she has ordered for hers. i thought the house looked great, so i took a picture for her to get an idea of what her house might look like. but i didn't get out. waaay to chicken to do that. :p

later, me and that friend laughed, wondering if the homeowner is on pcom, and would start a thread just like this. with description like: red mini van, full of screaming wild apes, and crazy lady with a camera. that would be me.

  11. usually, santa just leaves them laying around the tree & living room, but this year.... i hear he's wrapping EVERY SINGLE gift. ;)

All of ours are wrapped unless it's something big like a bike or something. I love to watch their faces ripping through the paper!

teenie hijack.... i LOVE your avatar! :D i've been saying to my husband... "i sure wish you'd sparkle." :p
