  1. Hi, they are medium size...doesn't sound like your son's dogs either. I hope people don't think I'm being difficult by not divulging sex/breed... I just know that times are tough and there are some dishonest people in this world and I'm trying to avoid those people laying claim to them and then trying to resell them or something. I feel bad for even thinking that's a possibility!! I learned today that Marietta Daily Journal will run a lost/found pet ad free for several weeks... AJC will run it free for a week...going to try those avenues as well. I keep thinking SOMEONE has got to be missing these babies!!! They are so sweet!!! (I'm already trying to butter up my hubby and discuss the possibility of us keeping them if we can't find the owners... we'd have to fence in the backyard but hey...I'm willing!!) I'll post any updates here next week.. Thanks to all for the inquiries and thoughts..

  2. Hi, sorry about your brothers dog but these two are definitely not him. I called the shelter today and they would not take my found report over the phone or give me info on lost reports filed ...and I could not make it in before they closed at 5. I'll head there tomorrow. I got several calls today (very sad the amount of lost pets out there!!) but none of them were for these babies. Still trying...

  3. To the lowlife scum (not naming names yet!) that stole two deer stands from out of our yard in the Windrift Subdivision ....suprise, we have security surveillance on the property and we know who you are. You will be prosecuted. We will give you 24 hours to return them, no questions asked...after that it's out of our hands.

To anyone living in or around Windrift....beware. Lowlife on the loose.... lock your cars and secure your belongings and consider investing in security surveillance... it's priceless at a time like this.

  4. Hi, I've seen posts recently where other middle schools are advertising tryout info for the 6th grade middle school basketball teams. Does anyone know if McClure will field a team and if so when/where are tryouts? Last year I know they did not have a 6th grade team or participate in the program... curious this year because I actually have a 6th grader that's interested!! My older son participated in the 6th grade program at Moses a few years back and it was a positive experience.. was hoping McClure would follow suit. Anyone know?

    Thanks..

  5. Does anyone know of a local flea market (Cobb, Paulding, Douglas, Bartow) where just a normal person can rent a booth or spot for a day? I need to do some major cleaning out but it's too much hassle to organize a yard sale. I was thinking if I could rent a flea market booth on a Sunday or whatever I could clean out a truckload... give it a whirl trying to sell it and then what didn't sell take it to GoodWill or whatever. That way I can feel like I'm making progress a load at a time instead of saving it all and then trying to have one jumbo yard sale. I wasn't sure if the flea market at 41/92 did that or if so how to contact them... been there many times but never know who's in charge to ask.

If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them!

    Thanks!

  6. I didn't attend the debate but I wanted to throw my two cents worth in after reading this thread. I've only been to a handful of BOE meetings over the course of the past few years.. maybe it was ironic timing but at all of those meetings Kim Cobb was present and in the audience, taking notes, asking questions, etc. I also noticed that several board members were absent... ie..not participating in the discussion or decisions taking place, etc. I know everyone has things come up now and then and not everyone can be at every meeting... I just find it funny that even with my sporadic attendence.. it was the same board members each time that were not present. Both are running for re-election this term. I said 2+ years ago Kim would make an awesome BOE rep... yes, she's a school bus driver but she has her finger on the pulse of the system more than anyone I've ever met. She's informed on the issues, and she's attended conferences on her own time and own finances to learn more and to contribute more to the PC School System. I can honestly say she has a "love" for this school system and it just makes sense for her to be in a formal position to represent it. To show up for meetings and plan and participate when you're not obligated.....and those who are obligated not bothering to show up...those are actions that speak louder than any words spoken at any debate.

Kim's got my vote... hands down!!

  7. We had a pregnant mama cat take up on our back deck and she had 3 adorable babies. They are very loving and sweet but I don't think we can keep all 3. We have two indoor dogs and one of them goes ballistic just watching them out on our screened porch. I think they will be ready to give away this coming weekend. We're guessing at the age since she didn't bring them up to us until they already had eyes open, etc. They are still nursing when mama comes around, but they are also eating the solid food we put out for the mama cat. They also use the litter box. One is a grey/black/white tabby. The other two are orange tabby's. I'd be totally guessing if I told you the sex. :-) I have pictures if anyone is interested. If you are interested please email me at ronamy3k@bellsouth.net or feel free to call me at 770-317-2043.

    Thank you!

  8. Hi, I wanted to post this in the hopes that someone can help me find my lost dogs. My son accidently left a door open last night and they scooted out about 5PM. This has happened before once or twice and they are always back by morning but so far they haven't come back yet this time. (I am a leash law abiding citizen...I don't let them roam....but accidents happen and my sons left a door open and they got out).

Anyway, Duncan is a chocolate lab. He's wearing an orange collar with tags on it. Domino is a dalmation, he's got a red collar on but no tags. He recently outgrew his old collar and we hadn't gotten a chance yet to switch the tags. (yes, I am kicking myself). They both also have the microchip in them as I adopted both from the Paulding shelter and they are registered in that database. Domino was recently diagnosed with epilepsy so he's on anti-seizure meds now and already has missed two doses....which has me doubly concerned. I've attached a picture below assuming it will let me post it.

We live in the WIndrift Subdivision off Dabbs Bridge Rd. near Hwy 61. If anyone has seen them, or has any info please call me at (770) 445-8111. If you do happen to see them and can hold them... I'll come get them ASAP. I plan to check up at the shelter as soon as they open as well as the vets but I thought this may be a good way to get the word out as well.

Thank you in advance to anyone that can offer any assistance.
