  2. Thoughts?

Better than driving all the way to Hiram for an ice cream when you really don't want to have packaged store bought.

I just told my husband yesterday that an Ice Cream Shoppe would be perfect at the new Grand's store at Ivey Gulledge.

  3. Love the mailbox picture!! I appreciate you who can stay home and do what you do and I commend you for doing the same thing day in and day out. I teach and the summer days are great for about a week and then I am ready for something to do besides housework. When my children were younger, I thought the "Stay-at-Home" days would never end because I did stay home with them until they started school and then I was fortunate to teach at the schools they attended. But like the country song says, these are the good times - you are going to wish you had them back

  4. Good morning ! My dog got out of our fence this morning and is missing! We live in Johnston's Ridge off of Old Cartersville .... she is a brown and white medium retriever - answers to Sarah. Our number is on her collar ! Thanks !

  5. agree agree agree ....... let them be who they are - not everyone is rock, country, classical, beatle, jazz, yada yada yada ........ I do get tired of rockin' Amanda though, it is the same thing over and over and over ----

  6. I have had a Duet washer for several years ....I wish so bad I had it when all four boys were home. It can hold so many clothes and I do not use special detergent. I have occasionally but can't tell the difference. I also think it saves water and cuts drying time. I do not have a pedestal but sometimes wish I do because it can be back breaking.

  7. 2 Cor 4:16-18 .... Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are NOT SEEN are ETERNAL ....!!

  8. Jeff does have another shop now on Mulberry rock rd.

Thank goodness it is scary going around without a trustworthy and dependabe mechanic.

Thanks for the info .... do you know exactly where on Mulberry Rock - still relatively new around here so I need all the help I can get !!!

  9. I read "Memory Keeper's Daughter" and really liked it but was a bit disappointed at the end. Now, I am reading "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown. It is keeping me on the edge of my seat so I only read it at school during silent reading time. If I bring it home, I won't get anywork done. He also wrote "Da Vinci Code."

  10. I am also from NC ..... Salisbury (between Charlotte and Greensboro) ...... miss my Cheerwine, Cherry Lemon Sundrop, and Gary's BBQ ....especially the hot dogs ..... BUT really, really, really like Georgia and especially my job. I go to NC at least once a month. Give me your grocery list !! :D

  11. We moved to Paulding County last summer and our college boy is here with us for this summer. He is looking for a lake so he can do some fishing. He does not have a boat so it would have to be "creekside" or he could rent a boat...... anyone know of a good spot?

  12. I had DSL and then when my husband got his laptop at Christmas, we went to fastaccess.com and they talked us through the whole setup. Did you have DSL before you went wireless? It was a matter of switching out modems..... I really like both services..

  13. How would you feel if people actually wrote down "Bat Cave" as to where they went on their honeymoon?!??!? Yep - actually did. Back in the late 70s, started in Asheville, ended up in Bat Cave. Beautiful little place -- not much there for entertainment .... but, after all, it was our honeymoon and I guess that's enough said about that!

  14. I was car shopping this weekend for a four door car. I currently have a small toyota truck, and my husband has a ponitac grand prix. We were looking for me a family type car so when we have children things will be easier. We went down Barrett Pkwy to stop at all the dealerships they have. We stopped at Carmax, Ford and Toyota. I was looking at a Toyota corolla sport(a new one) and wanted to first know if anyone had one and if so did they like it? And second does anyone have any recommondations. The dealership will always tell you that their cars are the best, but I want to know what everyday people in all situations think of how their cars hold up. I feel that foreign cars are better but other family members say American are better. I have had my toyota for a few years and have no problems. So please give me your input. This will be my first car that I have bought oin my own and I don't want one that is not going to last. THANK YOU!

not sure what happened on that last post but here is what I meant to say ..... we are currently driving our second Corolla - the first I owned for 5 years - absolutely loved it but totalled it one day --- got the second one and have been driving it for 10 years ----- I am SERIOUSLY considering getting another Corolla --we have not had any problems whatsoever
