  1. I am really not sure...I don't know if they order extras or not. Seems like they would???

Can find out tomorrow for you....or you can call the office in the morning.

I sent a check in just in case.

Who do you teach with? My daughter is in Kindergarten.

  2. I have already informed her that she could keep a couple of her animals but the rest had to go. She was not happy b/c she said that she needs a collection!

One question I do have is, isn't everyone allergic to dust and dust mites?

By the way we are going to start allergy shots in a couple of weeks.

  3. The things that she was most allergic to was dust and dust mites. Like I can get rid of that!!! So we went out and bought some dust mite remover for her mattress and a bed cover and pillow cover. She was severly allergic to that, she had the test done at 10:00 this morning and you can still see where they put it on her. Also, she is allergic to all types of grass, eggs, and soy. I am glad that this test is over with, I have been dreading it for 2 weeks!

  4. We are having our son's three year party at the Little Gym today! We did this last year and it is great b/c the parents can participate or just stand around and talk. I think it is like $250 for 18 kids but it is well worth it. The gym is closed so that it is just your party and they supply all of the paper goods and juice. They have 2 instructors for your party and the best things is that the kids are exhausted at the end! ^_^

  5. First, I am kind of confused. I assume that Shawna is your daughter and she is pregnant. Anyway, how far along is she and has she had the high bp before? I am only asking b/c I delivered at 31 weeks b/c my bp was through the roof. I did not feel "stupid" but I did not feel like breathing. It was literally an effort to breathe. My bp went up and stayed up. Has she had swelling? Protien in her urine at the dr office? Seeing any spots? If so I would for sure call the dr.

*Have her lay on her left side and this will drop her bp, but have her sit up slowly to stand so that she does not faint. Also taking her bp consecutively could cause it to elevate so try to spread out the times between them.

On a lighter note, do not worry all will be fine! My preemie is now the tallest girl in her kindergarten class and is eating me out of house and home. Also, my best friend's daughter was born with a heart defect and she is now two and beating up my three year old!

Good luck, and keep us posted!

  6. I attempted to play Guitar Hero at Best Buy the other day. I don't get it. One, I am HORRIABLE at it but it just wasn't that fun. Nothing more then button mashing. Now, Rock Band seems a little more entertaining as the drums are involved and its not just hitting the buttons but I don't get why these are so popular.

I also thought that it was a crazy idea, but it is one of those things that you can easily get addicted to.

  7. Any day care workers out there????? I would love to know what the pay is for and a 40 hour work week now days the parents pay out the WassZoo, but most workers make only minimum wage.....

I worked daycare for years and never made more than $8.50 an hour.... One of the lowest paid profession out there, yet one of the most important jobs, I can remember that in the winter most of our babies never saw the light of day . alot of them were dropped off @ 6 am and picked up @ 6pm With it being winter to was to cold to take them out side and it would be dark when they got home......I am not bashing working parents ( I was one) I just alway felt bad that the little ones were there 10 to 12 hours a day 5 days a week .

Most daycares start between $6.50 & $8.00 per hour. Take into consideration that minimum wage is like $5.75 an hour I think. Most of them for 40 hours would bring home about $250.

  8. Glad that it is not just me and my hubby.

I play drums and he plays guitar. We are waiting on the extra guitar to come out so we can have more people over to play.

    It is scarey!

  9. We use Dr. Zimmerman at The Center for Asthma and Allergy in Villa Rica. I have only seen him twice but he has done more in 2 visits than ,y pediatrician did in 5 years. I hope that all of this is over soon. She really did not have it this bad until recently but he said that it usually goes away or gets worse at 5 so I guess we are on the get worse end of it.

  10. I just read that one of the side effects is headache. She has complained since Friday of a headache. I have just been giving her motrin b/c she does have a sinus infection but has been on antibiotics for 3 weeks now. Should I call the dr tomorrow?

  11. I think the first time she did it it tasted bad so she just kind of fakes it now. We practiced on my cell phone about how to breathe the medicine it but is it ok for her just suck in quickly if it is not a deep breath?

This is supposed to be used to help prevent her asthma. After going to the dr 2 times last week and upping our prednisolone. The allergy dr changed her from pulmicort to the advair.

She is supposed to have allergy testing done and when we went last week he said that she was too sick so he would not do it. In the last 3 weeks she has had augmentin, prednisolone, flonase, pulmicort, advair, and omnicef. I am a little exhausted at this point and not sure what else to do.

Any suggestions would be helpful. We will go back on the 16th to hopefully do the allergy test.

  12. My 5 year old was put on Advair for her asthma on Thursday. She is supposed to take it twice a day everyday. They showed both of us how to use it but I am not sure that she is actually getting the medicine. How do you know if she is actually getting the amount of medicine that she should be?

  13. I think that it is a great idea. The only problem I have is with a lot of activities that happen after school or work are at 6:30 or later. I am sure that this works for some families but we all get up at 5am. My kids are usually in bed by 7:30, even in the summer. So if you do this please consider making earlier times for your younger children. My daughter would have a blast skating or attempting to anyway. And I am all about getting her out of my house and wearing her out for free!

  14. Should I send him to school? I don't want him giving it to other kids. There are to many on his body to cover with band-aids. It would take a whole box or more.

Usually if any of the spots are exposed, the schools will send them home and ask you to cover them. If they are only under his shirt, he may be okay.

  15. Augmentin might cause her bad tummy cramps and diarrhea;watch out for it.It did me.

She already has tummy aches, this is why the pharmacist recommended the allergist.

He suggested yogurt 3 times a day. She LOVES yogurt so this was easy to talk her into.
