Hi yall, I have a tree in my backyard within 15 feet of my son's bedroom that I have concerns about. The tree had a cable tied around it for about 9 years. I tried to remove the cable recently and found that the cable was embedded into the bark. The tree has grown around the cable to the point that I could not remove the cable. I might have to cut either the tree or the cable? I am no tree expert so any advice I will appreciate.
