  1. Hello to all of you wonderful people at Pcom! :D I just wanted you all to know that I have now gotten all the packages ya'll sent to me and my fellow soldiers of 2nd Platoon, A 3-8. We all just want to say thank you very much and God bless you all  . It is always hard to be over here and away from our friends and loved ones, but this time of year it is really hard. It is patriotic and caring people like yourselves who make it a little brighter for us. Believe me when I tell you that all of the things you sent will be put to good use. The FOB we live on does not have a PX (post-exchange), and we rarely get to go to the closest one to us, which is an hour away on LSA Anaconda, so we run low on items a lot. Your generosity will keep us stocked for a good while. Also, the presents you sent myself and my three roomates are greatly appreciated and brought laughs and smiles to us all. It is examples of goodwill and selflessness like this that make me proud to be a fellow Paulding Countian! ^_^ Thanks again, and I wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

  2. This just in...Bush to apologize this afternoon for the great depression AND the attack on Pearl Harbor...more details as they break...

I heard he's going to apologize to PETA next for the extinction of the dinosaurs & the dodo birds. At least he's not waiting to be blamed for that.....

  3. In a related article, it is claimed that Al Qaeda already has nukes in place.

I sure hope that our government has the wisdom to tell every muslim country on the face of the planet that they face Mutual Assured Destruction if this comes to fruition.

I'm convinced there's enough non-extreme muslims in the world that they would quickly put a stop to this if faced with their own extinction.  It worked with the Soviet Union, it will work for these punks.

And, if it comes to fruition, I hope our government has the balls to carry through with it and turn a third of the planet to glass.  Just go ahead, have the "big bang" and get it over with.

For decades, we've been building a massive deterrent force for just this sort of thing.  USE IT!!  :angry2:

    a big AMEN to that!!

  4. Todays news says it is REALLY toxic. I really feel bad for them . I hope they don't get sick. They are good men

I have some friends from here at Fort Hood who are there, and they say it is really bad. Not just physically, but mentally. There's just something about having to carry weapons and patrol the streets of your own country that hits hard. When we were in Iraq doing the same thing, we never thought we'd be doing it here at home in anything but training exercises. Please keep them all in your prayers.

  5. I am pulling for JD or Marty.  Both are great in their own way.  Two different styles.  Both would be great for the band.  Marty really rocked the night he performed the song from "Live".  The song "trees" was another great performance.  JD really has what the band needs.  Sex appeal and great stage presence.  It will be very difficult to choose.

I agree on Marty, but I just don't like JD's attitude. Sure he's good, I'll give him that, but just too cocky. "Trees" was a great song. I wish Marty had been able to do it last night as an encore. The encore w/ all the remaining singers and INXS playing was awesome. I think I'm gonna buy that CD that comes out Sep. 20th.

  6. Susie, Mig, and Marty are the best

J.D. is just a Jack-A$$ period, with talent

    Susie is my personal Favorite

Marty has the talent, but not sure he fits in with the group

Mig is proving to be the one!

    per Melody here at work.

I agree about JD. Is it just me or does he like to kiss some major A##? And Marty reminds me alot of Tom Petty. I would have to agree, Mig is proving himself worthy! :)

  7. It appears the new episodes start next week.

From my guide channel it said part 2 of 2. It is a 2 hour show.

    Sept.14th  from 9-11 pm.

    Discription:

Something at sea surprises the rafters; the islanders try to blow the hatch.

    Any other Lost fans.

    We never miss an episode.

    Hey Cuz

Yeah, Nickie and I are huge fans of Lost too. I only caught the last few episodes after I got home, but man I jumped right into it! I hate waiting 2 weeks for the season premier too!

  8. Hello to all of the great people of PCOM! Most of you know me as armymom's son, and I joined PCOM today. I just wanted to tell all of you hello from Fort Hood, Texas, and to say "thank you" for all of your heartfelt well wishes and prayers during the 14 months I was deployed in Iraq. It really helped knowing that the wonderful people from my native county were behind me when the going got tough.
