The final 2009 bluegrass festival is only days away...
The fall lineup features The Gary Waldrep Band and Blue Circle Recording artist Frances Mooney and Fontanna Sunset with each band performing both days. As always the festival includes talented local groups including Papa's Prayer, The Old Mill Road Band, Peachtree Station and several others for a total of 9 different groups.
The two day event includes local and regional bands and will certainly provide a high level of musical entertainment, great food, and lots of fun. The Raccoon Creek Festival is always a delight for pickers and fans of bluegrass music.

Glad to see the pictures. I had to drop by for a minute and run due to several other places to be at the same time
What a special day.....
Curtis and the Pcom members really pulled together with a little magic
Thanks to all for the hard work

I plan to stop by but will only be able to stay a few minutes

Pate's repaired my dryer and I was very pleased with the service and the bill
I think they will charge a flat rate for the service call and give you an estimate of repairs needed
Give them a call and explain what you need.....they are very honest

If it's raining, come on out! We have a covered pavillion!
The bar-b-q is GREAT!
Hey....it's not going to rain.
But if we were to have a brief shower everyone can hear good music and stay dry at the same time

I just got an appointment with Dr. Chastain for April 1st. Is he good or should I call back and ask for an appointment with Dr.Vicks?
Dr. Chastain is also very good also. I think he and Dr. Vick work in the same practice.
Dr. Chastain assisted the neurosurgeon during my wife's operation and we liked him.
He is young but well trained and up to date with today's technology.

I went with my family to Raccoon Creek tonight. We had a great time. I can't tell you how much tonight meant to me to spend this time with my children and my parents. I was able to take a step back in time and introduce my kids to a piece of my childhood. They really enjoyed it too. They know all about bluegrass, but it was their first festival.
My dad connected with some old friends he hasn't seen in quite a while and really seemed to enjoy himself. My dad was diagnosed with melanoma yesterday, and sharing this with him tonight, and the laughter and love was just amazing.
A special thank you to another very special p.commer. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
Your dad will be in our thoughts and prayers.
We are glad you were able to attend and enjoy the festival. The gas crisis hurt attendance some during the weekend but we still managed to have a fun weekend and already are looking forward to next year.
Thanks to Pubby and the Pcom members for your support.

We had never gone before but we had a wonderful time.....the groups were terrific....the food was fantastic and we saw people whom we hadn't seen in forever.....we have ever intention in going back to the one they will be having in September. It is a wonderful family event and our hats off to all those who plan it and work there.....THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL FAMILY EVENING!!!!!
Thanks for the kind words. The best reward I have is for folks to come and have fun and enjoy the festival.
We appreciate all the support from the Pcom family and especially Pubby for all his support.
BTW...Did anybody spot Pubby at the festival this time? He normally makes an appearance to get a BBQ plate and hear some music.

I will be there....

Ragsdale is the best! Over the last 3 years, we've used a couple of different companies to service our heat pump when it was on the fritz. Then it came time to have to replace it. We got estimates from 6 different companies. Ragsdale was not the cheapest, but they surpassed everyone else in their customer service, professionalism, and overall thoroughness of the job.
Same here, in the last couple of years Ragsdale has done several service calls on my 25 year old system and I have been very pleased. They have experienced technicians and really know what they are doing. As for price, I guess you get what you pay for and may find someone cheaper but my main concern is getting my house cool and they never fail to get the job done.

Sounds like a lot of fun
Count me in

Are you just starting or played before?
I know an excellent teacher in Marietta
Shoot me a PM if interested

I also hate to hear of her passing
She was such a wonderful person and someone I always enjoyed being around
I will miss her
Keep her family in you prayers

I used Blue Flame last week. They were the cheapest out of the ones I called.
Blue Flame gas was a sponsor for one of our bluegrass festivals at Raccoon Creek. They are great folks to deal with and have been established in the business for a long time.
I think you will be pleased with the service they provide
Give them a call at 770-943-6571 and they will answer any questions you have

So, did anyone actually go to this event last night? I walked from my house (about a block) up to the courthouse and spoke with the officer on duty and they said there was hardly anyone in attendance. The parking lot at the bank was empty so I'm assuming the crowd was pretty much a no show. A couple at the local store who had just returned said there were maybe 10-12 couples. Sounds like it was pretty much a dud. Maybe it was just the weather or maybe a lack of advertising. Not sure the reason but a real shame as it was a good idea.
LS
I thought it was a great idea. I hate to hear the attendance was low.
It takes a lot of hard work to put a show together and from what I saw they did a great job.

I was there ... Look at the video on the front ... even had a cheeseburger although I think Emory G. made it.
pubby
Pubby, I hate I missed you
I spent most of the weekend running around performing different duties
I do want to offer a sincere THANK YOU to Pubby for all of your support and the pcom members that were able to attend.
We had a great festival......
I can't wait until the next festival in July 2008

Ryan, sorry for your loss
I worked with James for several years. I've never worked with a more dedicated co-worker. Not only was he well liked by all but well respected because of his job knowledge. In short...James was a great person
