  1. morning y'all

    what are y'all doing today?

I am gonna nap ( been up awhile...couldn't sleep)

then maybe off to the pool

We have a couple of funerals to attend today.

Gonna be alot of motorcycles out and about today, so everyone please keep your eyes open and watch for them.

  2. They are always in my thoughts and prayers. My husband is in Afghanistan and has been for longer than most can comprehend. We have both grown to love AND hate that country. I pray not only for the coalition of military and civilians serving there, but also for the locals. My husband has met so many good and loving locals while working over there. I hope that they all find the peace they wish for.

Make sure you let your husband know that what he is doing is appreciated back home to...and tell him I said thank you!

As for you, if there is anything you need while he is away please PM me and let me know, even if its to just sit and talk, my wife and I would love to meet you and let you know how much we appreciate what you do, supporting a soldier at home and taking care of things while he is gone is a tough job...but he is fighting for MY family also, so that we can have the freedoms that most people really don't even think about anymore...its just taken for granted...anyway...thank you and if there is anything that you need please don't hesitate to let me know.

That goes for anyone who's spouse or loved one is fighting for my family. Thank you.

  3. Prayers said every day for all our troops, my son will be joining the ranks next year after graduation. I am scared for him but he wants to serve and protect our country. How can a mom say no to that.

I have a nephew that graduated last Saturday and will be shipping off to basic next month...it scares me to death.

  4. Please remember to pray for our soldiers and their families...we had one laid to rest in Rome today, and have two to lay to rest tomorrow...One in Gainseville and one in McDonough. It is a great honor to stand for these heros...but it is still heartbreaking every single time.

  5. 3/4 shot amaretto almond liqueur

    1/4 oz 151 proof rum

    1/2 glass beer

    1. Fill a shot glass about 3/4 full with amaretto and top it off with enough 151 proof rum to be able to burn.

    2. Place the shot glass in another glass and fill the outer glass with beer (right up to the level of the shot glass).

    3. Ignite the amaretto/151 and let it burn for a while. Blow it out (or leave it burning if you're brave - not recommended) and slam it. Tastes just like Dr. Pepper.

  6. It would be a wonderful thing to know when he is coming home and exactly what time. We could get together and give him an escort from the airport ... to home. This is something that the Patriot Guard Riders like to do also, but they have to be invited by the family.

  7. That just makes a horrible situation worse!

Yes it does...as many times as this thread has been read, I figured people on here would have been all over this. I got the link sent to me earlier and it ticked me off so bad I couldn't hardly even see straight for a while. I was beginning to think I was the only one that this story really got to...

  8. I don't remember who it was but a few weeks ago someone posted on here that they would like some picture of some storm clouds and such...I found some but they are too large to post on here. If you happen to know who that was could you tell them to PM me and I'll send the pics to them...somehow.

    Thanks...that is all.

  9. It was at Lakewood and I thought we were going to get zapped with lightning several times. They talked about spraying everyone with tequila but didn't do it...they did launch some t-shirts...but we were on the lawn...I like the lawn better than the seats, unless you can get the first couple of rows, and I just ain't paying that price...done that too many times already. I was impressed with the show, it was better than I was expecting...now I'm ready for Cruefest 2.

  10. I've got a Garmin Nuvi and I love it...it has saved lots of time and gas. Driving down the interstate and traffic stops...just get off at the next exit and let it take over...works GREAT. I would recommend looking at their website and see which you need...some of them have lots more stuff on them than one would really need...just in my opinion. I have the Nuvi 350...it has a mp3 player on it which doesn't get used much but has been used once or twice.
