I went to see this movie I think the name was Flight of Phoenix I liked what one of the characters said that "Religion divides people but spirituality unites them"...In a way I agree and relate to this.
On a different note: I know that some people believe that no matter whether you say you are Christian, Buddhist, ect. that there are alike principles and that even though you may be calling them by a different name you are worshipping the same God...But I don't believe this personally.
I have known people that have lost faith and stopped believing in anything.It is truly sad...I would almost like to say that it is better to believe in something than nothing at all, but since I'm a Christian I know that the Bible says not to have any other gods.
I am a Christian, but I consider myself Non-Denominational... and I still get asked what that is.I guess there is also the notion that by saying Non-Denominational that you do not know what you believe....However, I disagree I believe what is written in the Bible.
I can see how religion puts a barrier between people.I was wondering what others might think about this.

MAYBE, JUST MAYBE CHURCH IS DIFFERENT FOR DIFFERENT PEOPLE.MY HUSBAND DOES NOT CHOOSE TO ATTEND CHURCH;HE IS ROMAN CATHOLIC AND ATTENDED CHURCH GROWING UP...HOWEVER, NOW HE SAYS HE IS NOT BIG ON ORGANIZED RELIGION.HIS MOTHER SAYS SHE THINKS HE IS LIKE HIS FATHER AND THAT WHEN HE IS OUTDOORS ENJOYING NATURE AND APPRECIATING THE BEAUTY OF GOD'S CREATION THAT SHE THINKS THAT'S WHEN HE, LIKE HIS DAD, FEELS CLOSE TO GOD.
I DON'T LET IT STOP ME FROM GOING TO CHURCH WHEN I WANT TO GO THOUGH AND I HAVE BEEN GOING TO CHURCH SEPERATE FROM MY PARENTS SINCE I WAS A TEENAGER SO I JUST FEEL LIKE IT IS HIS PERSONAL CHOICE AND TO EACH THEIR OWN...DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS, RIGHT?
YOU CAN FIND OTHER WAYS TO FELLOWSHIP THAN JUST BY GOING TO CHURCH TOO...I KNOW THAT IS WHY MANY SAY YOU NEED CHURCH...BUT YOU CAN FELLOWSHIP IN EVERY DAY LIFE.YOU CAN SEND A MESSAGE AND I THINK THAT IN THE BIGGEST WAY... IS BY THE LIFE YOU LEAD EVERY DAY AND BY SPREADING GOODNESS EVERYWHERE YOU GO.
