  1. Rodney, I hope you will take this as it is intended which is constructive criticism. I am not sure if you have changed the person who makes your cakes, changed the recipes or what. But, I used to really enjoy your cakes. However several months ago they really seemed to change drastically and were no longer moist. . The last several times I've gotten cake there they were really DRY. I understand you want to present the cakes and them have an appealing presence in the case but I think that may contribute to the dryness. Maybe if you covered the cakes with a clear glass cake plate in the dessert counter? Giving the benefit of the doubt that it is not the cook and is somethimg else causing the problem. I can say I finally just gave up and don't waste my money on a piece o dry cake that I do not enjoy eating. I hope you find the solution. I miss your desserts, especially the coconut cake.

  2. We did send them an email after we paid for our food and let. We did not say anything at the time because we did not want to make it seem like we were trying to get a free meal.

The response back from them was (196 out of 200 isn't bad).

After reading your "resolution" to the problem I find that the coward's way out. IF there had been such an issue with the meal it would be have more appropriate to confront Rodney at the time. You could always refuse the free meal that you claim you did not want and insist on paying for your meal.

It seems to me you just want to cause trouble and hurt the business of this restaurant by complaining on a public board.

  3. Junior is a good driver and not the only driver to go with a long winless streak. Not to mention no other driver on the circuit has the pressure that is put on him. I would not call Junior a "superstar". Most popular driver in the sport with the largest fan base? Yes but superstar? No. It takes more than a good driver to get to Victory Lane. Junior isn't SECOND in the points by accident - or just because his last name is Earnhardt. Eleven TOP 10 finishes this season!! Many of Junior's losses have not been of his doing. Just sayin'.

  4. I saw the pictures of all your biker friends on facebook. Looks like ya'll are going to turn into just another biker bar with beer and wings. :(

Hope it works for ya and I am sure they bring in some money but once there it is a point of no return and not what PC needs - another biker joint. Just a thought to ponder.

  5. Hey Guys. I had posted a question in a separate thread but someone answered it for me. I knew your special on Thursday night was Prime Rib. DUH?

Here is the original link to my post but we will definitely be seeing you fine folks Thursday night. I haven't had the pleasure of eating your prime rib but have read good things about it on here and am looking forward to it.

  6. Greetings from Rodney’s!

Tonight (Friday May 11) Rodney will be offering his take on “Surf and Turf”. Includes a 10 ounce hand cut Rib Eye Steak cooked your way and topped with Rodney’s own garlic butter glaze. Served with a half dozen butterfly gulf shrimp, grilled, fried or blackened. Add two sides and you have a great Friday night meal for only $19!

Please join us tonight; we look forward to serving you!

    Thanks!

    Wayne

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? DARN. Was this on your outside marquee? If so I didn't see it nor did I read it on one one of the dry erase boards inside. We were there Friday night with friends and enjoyed our meal, BUT! I would have loved some good gulf shrimp with my ribeye IF I had known it was available. Our waitress did ask if we wanted the French Onion Soup (which I had seen on the dry erase board). We all had the soup and it was VERY good. However, a bit PRICY for the small size of cup it came in. I enjoy a good cup of French Onion and always order it when available. I don't like to go to the "chain" resturants in Hiram (prefer to support the hometown guys and gals) but several of them do have a great bowl of soup - larger bowl for a $1.00 less. I would suggest you either lower the price a bit or invest in larger bowls. (Same goes for your delicious seafood gumbo.)

    JMHO.

  7. What you are saying is true, Subby - as a general rule. But like ALL rules, there ARE exceptions. I purchased a USED mower at a yard sale for $30. (okay, it wasn't $25, but?) and the ONLY thing it required to run for the next five years was oil and gas. Nothing more than what a new mower would require. I definitely got my $30 and MORE out of it. The second mower I purchased at a yard sale was also about $30 and this will be the 3rd season I will use it. Again, NO issues other than routine maintance. Sometimes you actually DO get what you pay for. $10 or less per year for a mower is my kinfa deal!

  8. Anybody want to join me? I usually take advantage of the prime rib night.

Love the prime rib at Rodney's and the price also.

What IS the price? And what size is the prime rib (as in ounces)?

Looks like I am dining alone, I am headed to the Wearhouse then Rodneys @5:00!

5:00? WOW - I would be starving by bedtime if I ate that early. Enjoy your meal, LPPT.

  10. Steven,

Do you offer a CD with the photos? The last several years we have visited a "real" Santa and paid a flat fee of $30 for the CD of all the pictures (usually in the neighborhood of 25 pictures - more or less depending on how many photos could be taken in the time frame allowed) ) with a copyright release to have the pictures printed ourselves. Just wondering if this is available? Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.
