Trust me when I say this...take a look at your neighbors first. I live in Mill Pointe 5 houses away from our "scum gang".
both entrances have "security" gates.
-
I don't think they will DARE come back into Mill Pointe.
Wow! Wonder what made that person turn to a life of crime now! Guess we'd better board up that area at the back of the neighborhood that leads into Carrington Point huh?
I"m just wondering what we'll do when these people get out of jail. Will they resume their break-ins or do the smart thing and stop now that everyone and their brother knows who's been doing it.
-
They were GROWN ADULTS - late 20's early 30's
The daughter got the house from the mother, after the father died.
She moved in with her boyfriend, brother, child, and a few others all lived in that house.
Were they renters or owners???? And it was the son of a homeowner or renter??? How old of a person are we talking about???
NO NOT RELATED
Did they try to rob a home on Davis Mill North and get caught? I wondered if these were the same ones.
Most ALL OF THEM!!!
Norma was the female who lived there, who I have spoken too...boy, I have some things I would like ot say to her now...she acted like she was so scared and worried.....ugh....
So who was it? There are several for burglary, receiving stolen property, etc.
There were several OTHERS on that list that were arrested out of Mill Pointe.
So was he acting alone? Was any of the others listed involved?

UPDATE:
MILL POINTE RESIDENTS!!
THEY HAVE CAUGHT THEM!!!!!!
Unfortunately, they lived in our neighborhood, they were our neighbors, they have children.
These scum bags were arrested yesterday.
If you go to the Paulding.gov and look up the sheriff's office and then click on the Offenders - search by date 12/6/2010. You can see who they are. It's public information!
Thank you to the PCSO for working so hard on this!
Can't wait to get back to making Mill Pointe safe again!!
-
Hopefully, they will get caught soon, since they are coming back to the same neighborhood.
On another note...we have this car that drives in the neighborhood several times a week with the music loud as can be, speeding...it comes thru always around 2:00am-3:00am...my neighbor, tonight, or I should say this am, jumped in his car and took off after him to get his license plate number. I happened to be up because my dog started barking and I got spooked, just before I heard the car come thru.
I am over being on edge and being spooked by every sound I hear.
I know PCSO is doing everything they can, I just wish the idiots would hurry up and mess up, lol

email millpointecitizenwatch@gmail.com and you can get info.
We live in Mill Pointe as well.
I came home about 9:30 last night from the movies with friends and met a SO car driving through. Do they actually cruise the cul de sacs too or just a straight through drive down the main road? Just curious, I haven't seen 'em in my cul de sac, but I don't look out the window all of the time either.
...and on that same note... They have enough officers to spare 2 or 3 cars when they set speed traps on Davis Mill every 3 months, I'd think they could have just one drive through in the afternoons relatively often. Just sayin'
Another random thought.. Do the local pawn shops in the area know about the break ins? I'm no expert so have no idea how the people sell stolen goods. Do they have people they sell to or on the streets or what? No idea. I was just wondering if they were taking any items to local pawn shops or having friends do it. Do the authorities notify pawn shops for leads or no? I wouldn't think they would be stupid enough to go to the same shop over and over, but then again who knows.
I am glad to have the forum to come share information. We also wont be able to attend the meeting, guess I need to email someone about that.

Thinkin Hard...I am sorry you can't make the meeting on Monday Night, I have some forms that need to be filled out....if you pm me your address I will drop them off to you.
Thanks!

I have also had it. I am over it. I feel so on edge and un safe. I am tired of always having to look over my shoulder and worried about my daughter....everytime the dog barks and fly for the window to look who is out there.
I am also starting to think what someone just posted, that it's someone close to this neighborhood. Which is said, because you are suppose to TRUST THE NEIGHBOR.
I have to give a shout out to the PCSO - they have been working very hard - they have been coming thru a lot. They are trying.
There is a Neighborhood Watch being established and we have our first meeting coming up!
I can tell you, that if you come into Mill Pointe and you are car that we are not aware of or don't know...you will be called on...not to be mean, we are all just very cautious at this point.

ANOTHER HOUSE IN MILLPOINTE WAS ROBBED TODAY!!!
WHEN IS THIS GOING TO STOP!!!!!
-
Ms. Avalon, can you please PM me to tell me what happen, I live in Mill Pointe........Thanks
Just wanted to say thank you to PCSO for all of their hard work for Mill Pointe residents yesterday! We really appreciate what you did for us! I hesitant to say specifically what they did on here as I hope that they will be able to do so again and catch these thugs!

Do you think this is ligit???
The alarm folks are casing the neighborhood. Blue van with "Securewatch" on it trying to sell ADT monitoring is going door to door with two women.
-
Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.
-
Just wondering how it went today in the neighborhood....I heard that a couple cars came thru....
-
I have seen the pick up truck with the Y and the O....I don't believe it's "from" this neighborhood.
I wonder what ever happened with that call.
-
Just Thinkin...you have said that so well!
I am just pissed off at this point!
I drove thru today 3 times. And saw several people driving thru in between.
Keep it up and we will catch them!
On a good note...I got an email from a resident here in Mill Pointe stating that one day last week a young kid in a black hoodie came to his door and asked if he had seen his dog...The resident thought that was very odd, he said he was on foot. Anyway, he meets the description and the neighbor is going to call tomorrow to report it.
-
You know what's even sadder, is that they just did a story on the tire slashers in PC..now this....not good PR for Paulding County
-
That's my neighbor's home.
The one that was hit twice
I just saw that...They did some damage to one women's home.
-
it's the next story on WSBTV~!!
-
I was just out in the neighborhood talking to some neighbors...one of the residents of Mill Pointe had their window shot out with a shot gun on Friday night....maybe related, maybe not.
-
recently?
I have scanner on.
Yes there in Mill Pointe.. do not remember what the guy was driving but it was a white male, black hoody with sunglasses on they called about. I got busy and did not hear the rest of what happened.
-
YAY!! Guess what...I am sitting here in my front room and a SO car just came thru, sat for a minute and left...okay...let's keep it!
Here in Mill Pointe??
Well I heard on the scanner someone from this neighborhood calling about a suspicious person and the SO responding.
-
I agree. I agree with Lucky64 too. If the motive behind calling the News folks is to get the message out to people so they can be on the look out then I think it might help. If it is to talk about any failure on the part of the SO then I would disagree at this stage. I am sure they are doing all that they can given the resourses they have.
Good locks on windows and doors, strong doors, in some cases burglar bars, and an alarm system would all help to deter the thieves. I feel so bad for the folks who are going through this.
I understand where Lucky was coming from, makes sense, but no, it's to get everyone's attention about this. Like I said I was just out and about in the s/d talking to neighbors and they had NO IDEA this was happening.
Those of us who haven't been hit, feel like sitting ducks, and those that have been hit, we feel horrible for!
-
If anyone is interested - that lives in Mill Pointe - that would like to be involved in a Neighborhood Watch Group - please email to
millpointecitizenwatch@gmail.com

I totally understand about having a watch, but please remember this is happening in the daytime. Mostly all in the subdivision work. Sadly, I guess an alarm system maybe the only "real" answer, since there is only so much Paulding citizens can do. I am so tired of hearing excuses from our County.
I do not want anyone to have their home broken into, but honestly this is unacceptable and until you experience something like this, you will never know. We should have some type of protection from our law enforcement dept. instead of excuses. What does it take??
Getting the word out, as much as possible, and calling the media. Hopefully, this will help. We do have a lot of Stay at Home in our SD - in fact I was just out and about and I was talking to some of them and they had NO IDEA what was going on. That is even sadder.
Hopefully, posting on here, and on WSBTV will help out or little community! That's what they are there to do right, help us?
