And I told him so 3 days ago...my "sources" are always better than his "sources"...Pubby when you want to put me on your payroll,,,,LMAO!!!

Glenn Has done the right thing with his resignation...I hope he can find peace in his life and recover in his personal life...I do hope Susan and his Children work thru all the tough times still to come.

can your sources tell me if I am ever gonna win the lottery? LOL

If sources had that kind of info I would be on an island I owned and invisable, LOL

  2. Ken:

I understand and do empathize with both he and his family. I simply thought that the GOP leadership, which knew all this anyway (the ethics issues) and stood behind him would continue to do so. I mean the only thing that really changed was that the public became acutely aware.

I.e. it really didn't seem to me that he had done anything other than become depressed and had an episode of bad judgment (the suicide attempt and the actions surrounding that.) Heck, I figured if they'd back him through the affair and divorce, they would not have the gumption to kick him out because of his depression.

I guess I'm just not cynical enough :) ... and I guess as as member of law enforcement, you are cynical enough :)

    pubby

Sorry but it has absouletly nothing to do with being "cynical"....it has all the world to do with "law enforcement sources" and having the investigative background as a member of law enforcement to "get the facts"...Not once has any of the information I have ever given you not come to be true or factual in the end...actually I was poking fun at you but,,,,well I will just leave my "cynical" thoughts about "reporting with your heart" instead of trusting LE sources...hmmm might be why the "fox news" reporting style gets those rambling comments you often have going.

As well I have posted I too empathize with Glenn and his family on the personal side but I will never empathize with his political side...He chose the office, he chose to become a public figure and abused it, and then chose the path he took with the tactics he used and lifestyle after always preaching family values, morals, etc...He chose to cause his own downfall in his political life and he is done...Again I do hope he can find peace in his personal life but that too will be his choice.

    Are you serious?

.................let me go find a tree.

Careful LR he is a big guy and might hurt you as he falls out on you!

  3. I BEAT YOU TO IT.

    FOX5 ANNOUNCED IT ON TV...........

  4. My husband is still looking for work....does anyone know of anyone hiring in the construction field of stone or stucco? At this point of course he will do pretty much anything....we really need help! If you have any ideas please send them my way....ALL is APPRECIATED!!

Thank you! Please PM me or call him "Danny" at 678-402-1858!!

I just helped a guy who was an out of work construction worker get a job in Public Safety...Granted I am sure it pays nothing like construction work but he was sure proud to get a secure job with all the benefits...he said with the benefit package and salary he was actually not making a ton less than he was in construction and having to pay out of pocket for benefits...most Public Safety Jobs start between $34,000.00 to $40,000.00...With the start up of some new cities and the shortage in this business there are many jobs available, i.e. police officers, sheriffs deputies, correction officers, dispatchers, fire fighters, etc...For the most part these are "economy" secure jobs as well...hey it is a paycheck and with a good benefit package you can easily figure > $35,000. base salary + $10,000. (min) benefit package food is on the table and bills are paid.

You can google any City/County in the State of Georgia and go to their website to check openings...as well most of them have a link where you can apply on-line and save gas!

    GOOD LUCK!

  6. We should all run out and buy the materials to build some bomb shelters  I am old enough to remember the "bomb shelter" scare theme that ran amuck in the 60's...of course those shelters did turn out to make good wine cellars.

The 3 big CEO's of the big 3 auto builders are doing the exact same thing using scare tactics to get the $$$...They should file bankruptcy, loose all those perks and big salaries, and RE-ORGANIZE> Duh, but that scares them worse than building a bomb shelter!

  7. Chief Adams was a super dedicated, soft spoken, gentleman...although relatively new to his Position he was very dedicated to his small town and had done many GREAT things for the City of Nelson...He will be sorely missed by his family and the Citizens he Proudly served...My Prayers are with his family and his City.

  8. I just found out today that one of my bf doesnt have a tree. Does anyone know where I could find a tree really cheap bc I dont have any extra money and she doesnt either. I thought it would be neat if I could get a tree for her. Any suggestions?

I got permission a couple years back to go on property behind East Paulding High School to search for a tree...I took my kids and we went hiking...we found a few that would have been nice about 6 feet tall...but we got one of those "Charlie Brown" trees and we had the BEST time...we drug it home, decorated the sparse limbs, and posted pics all over the place including our Christmas Cards...IT was a BLAST! For the last 3-4 years we bought the "beautiful" tree on a lot...this year my kids want to go on a search for another "Charlie Brown" tree so we have character in our living room again.

Boots for stomping in the woods to find a Christmas Tree $50. Saw to cut Christmas tree $25. Disposable Camera to take pictures of The Great Tree $10. Laughter and Fun with the kids looking for, and finding, a real "Charlie Brown" Christmas Tree> PRICELESS!!!

  9. Ken, Glad to see you on here and I agree with you totally.

When I heard the CEO of GM and Ford say taking a $1 a year salary or bankrucpty was not an option, I wanted to ask exactly what their options are? If I get my fiances in a mess, who is going to straighten them out but me? I could not go and have a hearing in Washington be bailed out.

As bad as the Chrysler CEO is, he did say he would take $1 a year salary.

Hey CR and Hope you and MR. CR (LOL) are doing GREAT...Hope yall have a Great Thanksgiving and a Very Merry Christmas!

Re-Org Bankruptcy worked for Chrysler years ago so why not...I say it is because they see a hand-out this time!

  10. Nope not a dime > How I voted and how I feel...let them file chapter 11 and re-organize...how every company has to go and they are no different...using the logic "but it will costs millions of dollars and jobs, it will cause many other small companies to go belly-up, and we cannot afford to let them go under or file bankruptcy"....BS, BS, BS, those logics are nothing more than scare tactics PERIOD! What scares them is if they file chapter 11 they have to demonstrate a "plan" to recover, reduce, and re-invent...plus they loose all those 22 million dollar a year (base) salaries at the top...not to mention the perks go away! They have made their bed now that have to re-make it just to keep the bed...it will never stop if the government keeps "bailing out" failing companies!

  11. We have priced ourselves out of business in this country...the big 3 car manufacturers are a prime example...million dollar salaries for upper management, $40-$50 an hour for a $15-$20 an hour job for labor, which is what the foreign manufacturers pay labor ($15-$20)...then there are the unions which are so out-dated with their demands they are causing most American companies to go under, delivering a product that is often sub-standard to counterparts over seas, and passing all of those costs onto the American consumer with cars that costs thousands more than a foreign car...then you have multi-millions dollar a year CEO's flying to Washington in private jets and staying in motel rooms that costs thousands a night.

IMHO all 3 of them should have gone before Congress demonstrating a plan to cut salaries from the top to bottom 50%, rode a greyhound bus to get there and stayed at Motel 6...Nope just the opposite and then beg for money with no plan to reduce one thing...Let them all file re-organization bankruptcy, cut out the unions, bring salaries in line with foreign competitors, and SELL all those corporate jets! And if they don't like that idea let them go under and then some guy(s) like Sam Walton will open up with those "discount" manufacturers delivering a quality American made car at a cost that competes with the foreign manufacturers...The Big 3 have PRICED themselves out of business and the American consumer is fed up with the prices...why all the car lots are full of new cars and they are in money trouble...But to bail them out will do nothing as long as they continue to ride the skies with a "business as usual" mentality...Remember the Air Traffic controllers when President Reagan said "go on strike and your fired"...well they went on strike and he fired them...they were replaced within a matter of months with new employee's at reduced pay scales...those who were fired (and I know a couple) then went to work at jobs paying just above minimum wage...they wish they had not let their Union Reps lead them down the path they did.

I know the Gov't will not "bail" me out if I live above my means, so why are we even considering such a bail out now with the big 3? Where does it stop? Nope let them deal with the problems they created, and continue to create, or go under...damn sure don't give em a dime until they can understand, and demonstrate, those multi-million dollar salaries, over paid salaries to labor, and corporate jets have got to go! If not they will all go away anyway when they go belly up and then they can see how much McDonalds pays when they turn those burgers!

Yea I know there will be those that will blast me out of the water and say "but if they go under it will destroy our economy"...BS that is nothing more than scare tactics to give em a bailout! They made there bed now they gotta lay in it or figure out a plan to keep the bed!

  12. What ya gotta look out for (in the small print) is what you will pay in "customer service charges" which are added to your bill each month...I was paying 1.07 per therm with Ga Natural Gas and I got one of those letters from Gas South "sign up now for .95 a therm 12 month contract and get a $25 gift certificate...when I called them I found out, after asking the right questions, what additional "service charges" will be added? They were honest (which they have to be under disclosure laws) and once they gave me those figures I did the math...with the additional "service charge" I would be paying 1.09 a therm per month based on my usage...so I called my provider Ga Natural Gas and said "look I just got a letter from Gas South" and then I explained their offer...Ga Natural Gas immediately lowered my price to .99 a therm and discounted the "service charge" which made my total per therm a month equal out to 1.01 per therm.

All I am trying to say is be careful with just figuring the price per therm...do the math and figure in any charges that may go along with the monthly bill...some charge many different "customer service charges" that are on your bill but hidden from sight until you either get your first bill or you ask the right questions.

***A ton of what your price will be, and the "customer service charges" will be based on how you have paid your gas provider in the past...if you have been chronically late on paying a natural gas provider expect a high price per therm and other charges...also consider what a "cancellation fee" might be should you decide to cancel a contract before it's term expires.

  13. I have been there, my step-father has been there, and my mother has been there...We have 3 been there with just about everything there is to offer with little or no results in relief...BUT all 3 of us have also been the VAX-D route with GREAT results...it is non-invasive and is not chiro...I like to call it my "stretch table"...long story short they put you on a table, strap you in, and slowly stretch you...they increase the pressure with each session...the theory is when a disk is herniated the VAX-D separates the disk(s) by pulling them apart, hence giving time for them to heal themselves and re-generate the fluid that goes with age...as well what gravity does to the spine as we grow older...my step-father and I both were told there is nothing left but surgery and IMHO I have seen very few people with total success in spine surgery...Google it (Vax-D) and I know the Doc I used is in Powder Springs...Insurance paid almost 100% of my claims and I had a 100% painless success rate with it.

    Good Luck!
