I love yard sales, both myself and my husband, and we have spent many a precious day driving around and stopping and enjoying the drive and the people we meet. Please be aware...........if you are friendly to me and said husband, we will do our darnedest to find something, anything, that you might have out for sale that we'll buy, whether we need it or not - BUT - if you don't at least say hello and sit on your porch eating, talking on cell phones and jawing with a giant bulk of your relatives who also do not speak, I probably won't buy from you, even if it's something I might semi-want at the time but will probably give to Goodwill.
I hate that too I went to one in my own neighborhood and spoke first they couldn't even speak back so I left. HOW RUDE.

A deputy just told my husband that their having a standoff the guy has a gun threatening to shoot people. Lets all pray for the SO and all others around.

I live off of stoker about 20 cop cars and swat team now they won't let anyone in sub. Got my kids locked inside but my husband is up there and they wont let him in.

All these post are based on this lady,s say so. And a paper she can't provide. Even with all names blanked out.This story does not click.I think she is yanking all our chains. If it is so important, why is she here and not out trying to get justice and settle this matter.Or out trying to get that job she keeps saying she wants.Alot of people on this sight have given her some good places to start.

If this was a letter sent out as a personal attack, post a copy of the letter with your name marked out. Then we will have a better idea of what was said and if it is really a personal attack or a professional notice.
If an individual man sent it out, you could sue him personally, not just the company. I bet he has a nice house and car! How would you like to own those?

Good advice! Take if from us older folks, you're just spinning your wheels. You'll be a lot happier when you start a job somewhere else, even in a different field. Even out of this county. Sanity is a good thing to have

How come this looks so much like "get back"? ..And maybe be need to hear a little about the suggestions he made about history or unsafe home...maybe those statements were made to protect children...... Did you attempt to recruit his business away from him and did he contact the other daycare saying you were trying to start your own business through establishing relationships through the parents?
First of all I didnt think I could get unemployment because I gave notice worked it out and he told me to leave after my notice was up after I agreed to work until the end of the week to help them out. I did not do anything buisness related that caused this he is mad because he is having to go field trips personally because no one else can drive the bus. why he cant let it go I dont know. I am suppose to be going to a bus class for the county. I just wanted to know what to do where he dont do this to someone else.

Well, I hope everything works out for you one way or another.
It doesn't sound like a business related issue to me, it sounds kind of personal. (That is only implying that maybe you just happened to say something to him one day that you didn't/haven't realized made him pissed. People now-a-days can get really touchy about simple things that no one else would even put any thought to. I believe that there are people who would do this to someone merely out of spite).

No not at all I dont want to stay home thats why Im trying to find a job to better myself I dont know what the deal is

Even if you have a case, you'll still have to pay an attorney unless you can get someone to represent you on a pro bono basis or through legal aid

Its been my experience (22 years in Human Resources) that this may not be the whole story. It seems odd to me that someone would just send a letter that allegedly has derogatory info in it to parents of children that go to the day care. There is a reason that there is a problem now...we just don't know the full story. Georgia is a right to work state...meaning that your employment can be terminated at any time for any reason...even if you just comb your hair wrong!! As an aside...it is never a good idea to mix business with your personal life...going out with parents, etc....You leave yourself wide open for criticism!! I'm very curious as to what the real story is...most "normal" people don't start trouble like this for no reason. I thought I saw that the owner was a male....a little case of someone else is getting "it" and he wasn't maybe?
I dont understand it either I cant figure out what his agenda is this is the story as I know it but Im not the first employee he has done something like this to when you make him mad he does all kind of weird things

Not trying to be a smart a$$ but if you were good friends with that many parents wouldn't they stand up for you and let it be known that you did no wrong doing? I would want to find new friends if I were accused of something that I was completely innocent of and they didn't come to my side.
As a side note, speaking from experience, almost all centers have policies that state once an employee leaves they may not babysit children from that center. It can be viewed as trying to take away business. Perhaps that was the purpose of the letter, to inform parents of a policy. As for the rest of the content of the the letter did you actually see it or are you going on other people's versions of the letter?
The parents said they would testify in court, and I wasn't trying to babysit them. I have a copy of the letter and its very ugly. Thanks

If everything the daycare center said about you was a lie, and you can prove that it was in fact a lie, you will have a case against them for defamation of character. Good luck!
