  1. I voted for Heidi Leggett for Post 1 commissioner. I heard about her on here and just had the opportunity to talk with her over the phone. I have to say I'm extremely impressed with her ideas. Not only is she very educated on what real conservatism is all about. She is a real person running for the people of this county, and not a government paid junket. She explained to me how we can cut back and give more incentives to smaller businesses for real job growth, cutting back on useless programs that waist taxpayer money, in the long run the only things that turn out real growth and capital. I just have a huge problem with electing someone who has already got their hands tangled in this rats nest of a system that we so desperately need to clean up. I'm delighted to have someone like Heidi running in my own district that strikes a chord with my small government beliefs and knows the principles by which they stand.

  2. There is one at the shelter that needs a new home. And just an FYI, goats are hard to contain so be sure you have the fencing ready for it!

what shelter is it at and how do i get in touch with them

  3. Why do you live in a bubble?

You say that but it is more common then you think.

i dunno, i go to work and other people are still at home when i put her on the runner.

if someone hears her in trouble thats what the .22 is for.

its not that complicated, we live in a time where government intrudes on your personal life way to much.

i can take care of me and my own things without the government intervening and i prob do it a lot better than any regulation could.

  4. well the runner i use is for when i go to work.

there are no trees she can wrap around because i use the stoppers 4 feet in on both sides. i give her 10 gallons of water and she has plenty of shade under both the trees and lots of room to run.

when its raining that day and i have to go to work she stays in her crate inside.

all other times she is either in the house or in the back yard.

honestly i am not scared of "other animals" harrasing her.

and im glad that some of us prefer to have our world getting smaller and smaller to the point where we are confined to rooms where we watch tv and computer screens to keep our minds from going insane.

but i would prefer not to do that to my dog, she is a beast and deserves at least some of the natural world.

  5. i dont know, so what about electric radio fence collars?

if they are ok to use then by the same logic for tie outs being illegal, so should all invisible fences.

but invisible fences are fences in themselves, just because you cant see them doesnt mean they arnt there.

  6. so im sure if i buy one of those expensive dog kennels that give her only 100 square feet of room with no way to run around and lock her in there its legal and much better for the dog.

  7. i have a 1 year old chocolate lab that floats between the fenced in back yard, inside the house, in her crate, or in the front yard on a tie-out.

some jerk called the pound on her yesterday and they came and told my girlfriend that if the catch her on the tie-out again i have to go to court and will be fined 300 dollars.

its very annoying, i cant always keep her in the house or in the back yard, sometimes i have to put her in the front yard.

she has a good 600 square feet to run around on and she is not a hyper dog.

since when did tie outs become illegal, and why the hell do they sell them at the store if they are illegal.

  8. other than park trails...

where are some cool lakes to go swimming in. caves and mines to go exploring in.

creeks or rivers to go paddling. cliffs to go rock climbing.

    waterfalls or hidden trails.

i already know places like high shoals and sweetwater.

i already know the cave off of 101 but i would like to talk to someone to help me find the underground lake there.

i already know a lot about paulding forest but if you know of anything cool there other than the mines off of goldmine and the lake that is now beside the airport i would like to know.

i just need somewhere cool to go exploring.

  9. Yes we had a militia during the Revolution, but we also had a regular army. We have alwats had a standing army, and it benefits us to have one. I do agree that our troops should not be part of a world army, and it irks me to be part of any "U.N." force, but as a whole I believe our army is the best trained and most prepared army in the World.

    "regular army"?

We did not have a government army during the revolution, if we did it would have went against everything we were fighting for.

Thomas Jefferson on 1776 -God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ... And what country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.
  10. I believe it was a joke to cut some of the seriousness that was building in the thread.

no grizzly adams doesnt make jokes.

The militia is a great way to protect your country and the countries of the world.

Do not find yourself or your children one day marching side by side with the new world military police and their conquest for domination.

I believe that if a nations government is to run a military establishment, there is a zero chance to combat tyranny in that nation, much less global tyranny.

I think that if the citizens of this nation came together in a peoples militia without entangling alliances with other countries, we would see no blowback that is causing the wars we face today.

this is what our founding fathers recommended for us, and I stand by this teaching firmly as part of my American heritage.
