  1. My daughter (senior at EPHS) put in early application to UGA and we found out 12/15/07 that she was ACCEPTED!!!!

The info that you have been given on here so far is accurate. My daughter has a 4.0 GPA is in the top 10% of her class, takes honors & AP classes, plays tournament softball, cheers for Varsity Football/Comp at EPHS, class officer all four years of high school and Class President for Jr & Sr. years, volunteer work, National honors society, National Spanish Honors society, Beta Club & Beta Club officer.

So.....as you can see, she has worked really hard to get in. But...it worked!!! She always wanted to go to UGA! She put herself out there and everybody kept telling her that she would not get in. I wouldn't let her give up. Now, she is in!

Wow! We are so proud of her! Go DAWGS!!

  6. If the road is private how can they build on it if you did'nt give them permission to use it or even connect  a driveway to it??? is this your road or the county's??? how are you determining this is a private road?

"Private" meaning not a subdivision, only 5 houses on single lane dead end road. The property that they are building on is theirs, however, the road is everybodies!

    sorry for the confusion.

  7. I am a resident of Paulding County, own a home on a private road. Two houses are being built by a builder on my road. The road is a single lane road. The contractors on these two houses don't care at all about our road! Our road is covered in mud from the time that you turn in our street until you get passed these two houses! They have a 2x4 holding up a power line and it is leaning across the road and splitting, it will more than likely fall on a car or somebody. There is not the first building permit anywhere on these property's.

Now that being said, who is it that I go to? Aren't their laws to protect me and our county roads? Aren't their laws to have building permits posted on property where houses are being built? Who told this guy that he didn't have to obey these laws? :glare:

I forgot to add...I have been dealing with this now for approximately 3-4 weeks. I was hoping that they were just busy or just needed some time and they would correct these issues...At this point, it just seems to me that they don't care. I might be wrong, who knows? I would just like to see some signs that they do care!

Oh Yea...Merry Christmas to all my Paulding.Commer's !

  8. Growing company seeking electrician with 2+ years commercial experience. FT position to start immediately. Please send information along with a telephone number that you can be reached to classicwiring@comcast.net. Thank You!

  9. Just received call regarding black male shot in acworth. He was in a car with another woman and she intentially ran into a cement truck, unfortunately killing her instantly and black male jumped out and held a gun to the driver of the cement truck. The truck driver pulled a gun out and shot the black male. The gun that the black male had was registered to the lady that was raped last week. GBI is on it's way.

We need to say a prayer for the lady that was killed today, the truck driver who had to kill this idiot and continue praying for the lady last week. We also need to pray for the black male's family. Can you imagine the hurt they are going to endure finding all of this out.

Oh my goodness. I'm so upset!

  10. I have a situation of someone who recently came into our lives. I just have that "funny" feeling about them. Is there a way, other than the sex offenders list, to get a criminal background info on somebody? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

  11. I am very concerned about a young man that was airlifted last evening out of Burnt Hickory Ballfield. Does anyone have any info on him? Or...does anyone know where they transported him to? So that I can call and get info about his condition. He is a good friend to my children...Any info would be greatly appreciated...Thanks :(
  12. Wow! What an incredible story. Thank you for letting me know about this. It just so happens that I know of a young man who is a Freshman at EPHS and I strongly feel that he is headed in the wrong direction. I am printing this out this a.m. and I am going to give it to him to read.

You never know how God uses people. This a.m., he used you to get this info to me! WOW! HE is an Awesome God!

Have a great Day! Thank you!
