My best advise.... Weight Watchers.... I've been on the program for two years and I absolutly love it. It teaches you how to eat and how to take back your health. The meetings are also great to keep you motivated and get the support needed. For me, WW has become a way of life not a diet.

Thanks to everyone who came out. I agree that this event should be bigger and more publicized, the organizers said they thought the turnout was better than last year, but seemed slower to me. We will be back next year.....
Clawdia.... it was great meeting you... by the way.. I have TONS of doggie bandanas left over... could the PCHS use them? Last year I dropped a box off at the shelter, may do that again.

Is this a Brown and White Beagle? Does he run around Williams Rd? If so I can tell you exactly were he lives....
-
I also don't remember paying last year to get in (although I am a vendor) But I don't think there is an admission fee.
The event really is alot of fun... expecially if your a dog lover like myself.
Stop by our Booth and get a bowl of Scout Chili or Scout Cobbler for just $2.

I for one consider myself deeply spiritual and have a very strong faith... but not necessarly with one specific religion. I belive in God, I pray, I trust that Jesus died for me.... but I am also deeply intrested in many other religions, including Buddisim, and Paganism. My 15 year old son, who is a devout Christian, thinks it's wrong of me to "believe" in so many different things. Whereas I can't understand why he refuses to even "think" there might be more out there.
I wear a very small pentacle around my neck (which drives my son crazy). He thinks it's a bad symbol. But to me, it symbolizes much more... it's five points symbolizes the five elements... which keeps me grounded... the circle reminds me that everything in life comes in full circle, which keeps me on a moral path. It has also been written in many texts that the pentacle was an early symbol of Christ, the five points being the five wounds of Christ, which reminds me that God stands with me in all I do.. These are my beliefs... thats why I wear my symbol hidden, close to my heart... I do not push my beliefs on anyone else, no do I expect anyone else to accept them. What I do expect is for everyone to respect the fact that this is America.. founded on religious freedom.
My beliefs don't make me a bad person.... just a different one.
[Now I have a question for you........what if you are wrong? Do you ever think about that? And are you willing to accept the consequences thereof?
]
Same question to you.... what if your wrong....

Two years ago I adopted a beautiful Golden Retriever from the Union County Animal Control. (Driving from Dallas to Blairsville to get her) Her adoption fee was $150.00. At first I thought "alittle high" but she was a pure bread and she was coming fulled vetted and "fixed". So I gladly handed over the money. Within six months we realized we not only got a pound puppy but a puppy mill puppy. She is deathly afraid of kennels so could not be kennel trained, also terrified of thunder and lightning. (thunder hits and I have an 80lb dog in my lap) These were just behavior problems.... then came the money problems.... first.. she eats like a horse.... secondly she also has a severe flea allergy from overbreeding.. which means costly vet bills getting allergy shots once a month and buying over the counter allergy pills that we spoon feed her with peanut butter. Easily I spend $100 on her a month.....
If I could go back to two years ago when I was standing in the shelter and decide not to get her...... H#LL NO !!!!!!
She has been an absolute blessing to our family... we love her like she was a child. We also have two other dogs... both members of our family. And I gladly hand over what ever money it takes to keep them healthy and happy.
Frankly I think that the laws we have on the books now are not enough.... and I praise everyone that works these shelters.... God Bless you!

Also on September 25th at Paulding Meadows will be the 5th Annual Doggie Days Festival. They will also offer microchipping, not sure the amount though.
This is a great place to bring your dogs out and have some fun. Our Scout Troop will be selling Scout Chili and Scout Cobbler this year so come hungry.

Could someone please post an address for the bank.

Does anyone know of any good places to go camping in Paulding Co. Our Boy Scout troop is looking for some places close to home. We are off 61 North.

Bunkhouse really is the best.... and the Gruber family is top notch. (they are also neighbors of mine)
They also take personal checks... Doug will let me know if he doesn't see my smiley face checks each week.....
Our favorites are the Bunkhouse Melt and the Dixie Burger..... Still trying to talk Doug into doing a good country breakfast menu...
Would you be willing...

I agree with Freebird. I'm a Scout mom and go camping at least once every month. The coldest campout was 16 degrees with a light dusting of snow. The colder the better... Scouts believe its Character Building!!
