  1. To Our Friends,

:( Sad to say, Love's Seafood Restaurant will open for 2 more days, on Friday 6/26/2009 from 4p-9p and Saturday 6/27/2009 from 4p-9p. We have enjoyed cooking for you this past year at our location. Your warm comments have meant so much to me, you just don't know. I only in the past week have read all the Love's Seafood comments on PCom and I must say, it made it much worst for me to make this decision. You all have been so wonderful to us.

If you would like to remain in contact with us for when we do return, please PM me your email contact info or complete the contact info at www.loves-seafood.com.

We hope to see you this weekend for "One Last Meal" with the Love's. I will be posting all specials late tonight for you all!

  2. Thanks to all who came in to Love's Seafood Restaurant yesterday, the boys had an awesome time and we raised about $300, still have a ways to go though. So for those that could not make it on yesterday, come in this weekend and donate $5 or more and get your very own autograph Team Book (while supplies last), read the stories on these boys, they have accomplished so much at 8 years old, you will be amazed.

I had a couple of my regular customers who donated $100 and $40, this was huge and humbly appreciated. We had a high school student that took a picture with each of the boys and had them to sign their autograph, she's on to something, there is no telling what that will be worth, she just made a small investment into her financial future...and it was soooooo cute too!

So come on in, the signs that they had on the road will be hanging in there...they are so funny to read.

    Thanks,

Coach L.A. aka Mrs.Love aka Mama Love

PS. Thanks to everyone on Pcom for your support, you all have been wonderful all the way around!

  7. Me, my son and my friend went to Love's Seafood tonight for the All You Can Eat Deals. My son and I had the AYCE crawfish and my friend had the AYCE king crab legs. Let me start by saying that my kids were born and raised in Louisiana and we moved here form Biloxi so we are quite familiar with gulf coast seafood, and we love it!! My friend is from Miama so she is no stranger to seafood either. Since moving here 8 years ago we have not been able to find any place that had crawfish that was even similar to the ones that we were used to having in Biloxi. The crawfish were cooked perfectly, not too tough. We asked for them to be spicy and they were just right. The price was 15.99 for AYCE, it was definitely all we could eat. The people who work there are so nice and continued to bring more out until we were stuffed. Unlike some other places that I have tried, Love's never made me feel bad for wanting more. It was like eating at a friends house, they just kept it coming.

My friend who ordered the crab was also very pleased. For 21.99 she definitely had all the crab she could eat. Anyone who likes to go out and eat crab knows how expensive it is to eat king crablegs, especially all you want of them. So really it was a value.

The ONLY drawback to the place that I could find, and it is not enough to keep me away, is that there are no sides with the AYCE deals. I know that the owner said on the post that it was not cost effective for them to give sides with the AYCE meals but I have to disagree with that decision. I know that we would not have eaten nearly as many crab legs or crawfish if they had thrown some potatoes and corn on the cob in with it. Maybe even some slaw and garlic bread...you know cheap filler food. But hey, I enjoyed filling up on crawfish and my friend had no problem filling up on crab so I will definitely go again.

Next time I want to try the Poboys. I have not had a good fried oyster poboy in 8 years.

Thank you so much for coming in to visit us and enjoying the AYCE Crawfish and Crabs...I will have to agree with you on the sides because we completely sold out of KING Crabs, well except we probably have enough to do 1 AYCE Crab, I am sure when I post this update that someone will want to take claim on that...lol

We have plenty of Crawfish and Catfish, of course we bought way more of these back. The AYCE was a first, but I can't say it will be the last...My niece who works there with me said, "Auntie, people are going to think we are going out of business, with having AYCE on the Crabs, Fish and Crawfish", I laughed at her and said "well if that is going to keep us busy for this weekend", it was a joyful 1st for Love's Seafood to offer such a great deal and have a successful turnout.

I am very humbled by your comment "The crawfish were cooked perfectly, not too tough. We asked for them to be spicy and they were just right. The price was 15.99 for AYCE, it was definitely all we could eat. The people who work there are so nice and continued to bring more out until we were stuffed. If you don't mind I would like to use it, in a project I am working on for the restaurant, I will need your last name and city to add to it. If you don't want to post it on here, then you can give it to me at the restaurant when you come in to get your OYSTER PO BOY, hint hint!

Again thank you and we look forward to you spreading the word about our hidden place.

    L.A.Love

  8. My son was in Heaven eating the crawfish last night. I left you a good seafood review in another thread. We will definitely be back! I got up this morning thinking about a fried oyster poboy.

Just so you know, I had not been on P.Com since December until Friday 3/20/2009 when Nemie, who owns the bag boutique, suggested that I go up there and post and I am so thankful that she encouraged me to do so. P.Com users and Guest have been very good to Love's Seafood, what I mean by that, is people who frequent this site have visited us. If I was really keeping up with it, I would say, out of 100, 90 have returned. I try not to read what people are saying on here about Love's Seafood, so I purposely stay away, it is for business purposes and I really don't want no one to think that I am not responding to them, we are right now in the midst of trying to find creative ways to bring in consistent business. And besides people are coming in off the reviews on here, so we will not complain.

Being from the coast and knowing what good seafood should really taste like, is what drives us and we both know that it is FLAVOR, right...we have spent countless hours and MONEY perfecting that (not PERFECT) flavor.

We are small and family owned and we seriously cook to order, so sometimes things can take a bit longer to get out, but with the economy the way it is, we have to operate with it being family right now. Tha that is my only "woe is mea" comment...lol

Now about the oyster Po Boy, we mix our batter as well, so I am sure you will find it very tasteful...we have 2 batters, or regular batter is SPICY (a bit) and then we have the mild batter ( it has very little spice, but still has flavor)...I am sure you will want the regular batter.

The Po Boy is overloaded, just as the menu says, so come in and give it a try.

Thank you for your comment and I will read and reply to your other post.

    L.A. Love

  9. I talked to my son and he is excited about it. Both my boys were born in Louisiana and we lived in Biloxi, Mississippi while they were growing up so crawfish is one of their food groups! You can buy crawfish here, but they are never cooked the way we love them from the coast. We will try to see you tonight.

I know, there is something about being form the coast and eating seafood anywhere else (it just is not the same), that was definitately one of the reasons we opened Love's Seafood Restaurant...we always found ourselves bringing back a cooler full of seafood whenever we went home and would eat evryday until it was gone, our friends loved when we went home...

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you all there for the Crawfish Boil that starts at 4pm.

  10. That sounds great! DH and I drove all over trying to find you one day. I "thought I knew where you were, but it was no where near. LOL!!! And, when we finally found you, it was on Thursday and you were CLOSED. We will have to try again (now that I know where you are) so I can get some good catfish (which is sometimes hard to find) and DH can get a shrimp poboy!

BTW, is this special an ongoing thing or just for this week-end??

    Good Luck.

    Uh-Oh. I have been good, I PROMISE!!!!

Fo right now it is this weekend only, we may consider it for upcoming weekends, I'll post if we do and thanks for trying so hard to find us, we look forward to your visit.

  11. Where are you located ?

We are located at the corner of 92 and Brownsville Rd directly behind the Chevron Gas Station and across the street from the OLD SaveRite store... you may visit www.loves-seafood.com and go to the directions link for door to door directions...hope to see you there.

If I do not respond so quickly to any questions from this post, please forgive me, I am headed back to the restaurant to finish getting setup to open...but Nemie's Pet and Gifts owner thought I should post this special when I went in to buy my Mom this purse she saw there...lol
