Has anybody heard about an accident or something on 92 and Mt. bethel. Traffic has been bad for several hours.

Go to textbooks.com .... they have a guanteed buy back on many books.
We used them this semister and bought 3 books for around $200 ... he has to keep one of them for a class this semister but sold the other 2 back for $70.
so that helps some.

I had to buy "A Star is Born" with Barbra Streisand. It was the first grown up movie I saw at the theater when I was a teenager. I felt a little different about it when I saw it this time!!

jmd-------I am far sighted and have these tiny white dots in the center of each eye that is a form of cataract. So I'm doomed to wear glasses for ever.

How wonderful for you.
I posted here a few weeks ago for experiences with Lasik and I went in for a consultation. Unfortunately I am not a candidate for the surgery.
But good luck to you and celebrate throwing out those glasses and contacts!!!!

Has anyone had Lasik or RK surgery? I was going to get a consultation with the Carrolton Eye Clinic. It makes me nervous at the thought, but I'm tired of these

I was told a dead body ws found on the property. You can see crime tape when you pass, right next to a shed.

I wonder if the Douglasville program is funded through the Sheriff's Office?
The side of the training vehicle I saw had reference to the Office and Driver's
ed.

Is the class in Douglas County in a big tractor trailer or RV? I saw one of these in Douglasville one day. I think it's supplied through the Sheriff's Office.
Why can't we have this in our county too? I think a driver training course is desparatly needed for our teens.
Great question for the "Sheriff's Race".

I have been a Sub. for seven years. I enjoy the middle school level and high school is OK. Never did elementary, that just never appealed to me. I love being around the kids. If you can get in one school the kids will get to know and love you. ( and the teachers will too!!!)
It's true, if you are available on a regular basis in the beginning, that school will move you to the top of their calling list. They appreciate having someone they can depend on.
You should check on the training class. There is usually one in Sept. and they do get full.

I think we should implement some hefty "Development Fees" to the developers of these subdivisions, especially these lower end "starter homes" and "cottage homes".
This money should go directly to our school system for it's DEVELOPMENT.
Also, shame on the developers going in next to Hiram High for not donating a tiny portion of land they so desperatly need.
