  1. Okay folkes, I'm looking for good hair dresser to highlight and cut my hair. My son is getting married on Saturday and I desperately need a new do. I need someone that can give me suggestions on a new haircut like the kind of person you can go to and say I don't know how I want it cut but you tell me what you think.

Theresa Phillips at Phillips Salon. She is located at the intersection of Acworth Highway and East Paulding Drive. She is wonderful and will do an outstanding job for you! I highly recommend her. Congratulations on the wedding!!!

  2. I've been corresponding with the District EH Director and it appears that they've cleared out all of the old inspection scores and have started posting the new scores for 2009.

That being said, I am amazed at the number of restaurants that scored sooooo low. :bad:

It's definitely something I will check before I visit a restaurant in the future. The Georgia Legislature did pass a law that went into effect recently about the placement of their inspection scores within so many feet of the front door of the establishment. But taking a look at the web site might save you the gas in wasting a trip there in the first place.

Rodney's in New Hope has posted a "99 A" beside the front door. Excellent food, service and ambience. We really enjoy their daily specials! Great food with a low price!

  3. think it is going to depend on how much over you were ticketed for, the officers testimony, and the judges demeanor that day....

i would see if i could reach the officer on the phone and ask him...then the court clerk..court clerks in my past have had a LOT of pull....they might also be called the clerk of court and i have had one or two dropped at the clerk level but dont remember when where or why

    good luck

Clerks in Paulding County do not have the authority to "drop" traffic tickets.

  4. Well, I laughed the whole time!! I hope NeNe is back. I would love to hear her excuses for the boot.

DeShawn had a bit of class... not allowed I suppose.

Did you hear the singing voice of the "blond"? Her voice as similar to fingernails on a chalkboard to me! The post show was a hoot!!

  5. As I stated later in this thread, I now have a copy of the marriage license I was looking for. A cousin had it and e-mailed it to me.

Does anyone know if divorce records are kept at the same place?

    I love courthouse archives.

Divorce records are located in the Clerk of Superior Court's office located on the ground floor of the courthouse.

  6. I have two questions about marriage licenses.

Where in Paulding would I go to get information about a marriage license? Clerk of Court? Probate court? This is NOT to get a marriage license but to look up an old one.

Do they still have information from 1950?

    TIA

Marriage license information is available through Probate Court. Probate Court will have records for 1950.

  7. Agreed! Too much government. It's a VERY bad idea for ANYONE to be distracted by texting or using a cell phone while driving, but it wouldn't stop with young people under the age of 18. In two or three years time it would extend to all of us.

If we're going to make laws for everything, we need to add people who have to look at their passengers when they are talking to them....people who are looking in their glove boxes....people lighting cigarettes....people looking at maps/directions...people reaching into their back seat to slap their 4 year olds....people applying make-up.

Then you have the REAL dangerous drivers who change lanes erratically, cut people off, pull out in traffic dangerously, slam on their brakes to turn without signaling, etc, etc, etc.

I have already advised my teenager NOT to use the cell phone while driving or I'll be parking the car and keeping the keys. If the Po-Po wants to notify me when they notice my teenager using a phone, GREAT. I'll take care of the rest, but you (The Great And All Knowing Government) are not going to make a new revenue generator out of it. <_<

Maybe the law could be structured where there is no fine only a license suspension.

  8. Peanuts, shrimp, and lactose-heavy milk. :p Actually, we'll have finger foods (Chick-fil-a), chips, veggies, coke/diet coke/sprite, hot chocolate and coffee - that kind of stuff. It's come and go as you please. My wife is the real planner (I just play one on P.com), so I'm sure she'll have other stuff.

Thank you Mason for being so election minded. You are very kind to open your office to everyone and provide food as well. Thanks!!!!

  9. Isn't that SOOOO cool!!!!!?????? ^_^

It could be because the election office has not given you credit for voting yet. It would seem that if they had time to give credit for voting for your husband that they would have had time to credit you as well. Have you recently married? Could be listed under your maiden name.

  10. I read in the paper today that Stan Milton died on Monday. He was a fabulous artist with hair. He had the best hair salon in Atlanta. Made everyone feel like family while at the salon. He has not done my hair for a couple of years now because of the drive time to get to the new salon. Wonderful caring man. Huge loss for Atlanta.

  11. OK guys - I need help! I'm looking for a good chiropractor- one that takes exrays and really analyzes the situation.

Then I also need a good person that does deep tissue massages.

    Any help? Any Suggestions??

    Thanks

Dr. Jason Vaughn is wonderful. Alicia in his office performs deep tissue massage. His office is located at 92 and East Paulding Drive.
